I wasn't aware that both schools had played over 60 matches. Has it always been this way?

ATM is a cocky fan base that hasn't won much against LSU, but keep running their mouths

Pre SEC conference history in both football and LSU baseball ending their best team
Ton of LSU alumni live and work in places like Houston and Dallas where a lot of A&M alums also live and work

A&M has a chance to end the Bama dynasty in Tuscaloosa and Jimbo just might do it

Aggy has an arrogance that rubs people in the conference the wrong way, LSU fans are just assholes like the rest of us. Oil and water don’t mix.

Yes, it has. The rivalry got put on hold after LSU took 5 consecutive arse beatings in the 90s and forfeited the series.

In my experience, the animosity appears to mostly be limited to online boards. I’ve gotten along great with most of the A&M fans I’ve met in person.

It isn't much of a "rivalry" in real life.

It's fun here because the Aggies here talk a lot and constantly slap themselves in the dick, the only other fanbase with as much hubris is Alabama and it's hard to talk shite to them.

Do you think this dynamic will change once Texas is in the conference?

This is truthfully the correct answer. I just jack with LSU fans on here.

Aggy as a culture cannot exist without a foil. For their entire existence up until the SEC move, Texas was their measuring stick, boogy-man, and focus of their obsession.
Left adrift without big bro to give them queues on how to respond, LSU is the natural replacement. Historic foe, good but not great, they present a canvas for aggy to project their insecurity and reflect validation they unyieldingly crave.

Same here, I have some good friends who graduated from A&M. They laugh about Aggies' ineptitude over the years, pretty similar to how Cubs fans used to be before the Cubs finally won their first World Series in a 100 years. I find the dumbass "Aggie fans" you find on this board are often people like Daniel who didn't even go to school there.

Likely.

Longhorns and Aggies are actually very similar fanbases, with the exception of Texas actually winning some stuff.

the cucks are always in-fighting, it's what they do.

they're a lot more a like than either party would care to admit.

its a one sided animosity. If the aggies went away, it would be like nothing happened and nobody would really care.
