That’s just the way it is at the traditional trophy schools.

Florida isn't a traditional trophy school. They did well under 2 head coaches. Outside of that, their entire history of football is of a cellar dweller in the SEC. I mean, you can say the same about Ole Miss. We were all-world under Vaught and Freeze won big too but outside of those two and Lane, we are awful. I'm not going to pretend we aren't. Unfortunately after Vaught, we had a run of Chancellors that hated sports and refused to support them, so we are playing major catch-up.

Ole Miss has been far more successful than Florida post COVID. Florida hasn't shown any ability whatsoever to succeed in the NIL world of football.

Other than beating a 10 win OM team last yr with one of the worst playcallers in the SEC.

Our problems are very fixable, and a quick turnaround is very possible with a OC who has a brain.

There are worse...

I can't imagine Oxford vs. Gainesville as being a real big part of any kind of decision here.

Oxford is a nice small town. Gainesville is an okay small city... but the west side of town in Gainesville is very nice.

And how many trophies do you have? Being all world during those time periods must've filled the trophy cases, right?

You know full well Florida is a sleeping giant with more upside than Ole Miss. They've won national titles far more recently than Ole Miss. It's an elite academic institution in a state teeming with high school talent. With the right coach, they're right up there with Alabama and Georgia.

We keep hearing this story but it never seems to pan out. Just face it, you're much closer to Auburn and Arkansas than you are to Alabama and Georgia.

Interestingly enough…..since Covid, Ole Miss is right up there with Alabama and Georgia in wins.

Yet we beat your 10 win team last yr with a HC who was literally fighting for his job.

Florida titles: 1996, 2006, 2008

Ole Miss last claimed a title in 1962.

he absolutely made Mullen fire his DC mid season to set him up to get fired.

He is weak, lacks vision, and is strategically challenged.

That's why he kept Napier this long....because he knows he screwed up firing Mullen too early....so he gave Napier too much time. That screams...I don't know what I'm doing and cant make the right decision to save my life...Im just doing the opposite of what I did last time.
