If Houston and Dallas are too far west, Atlanta is too far east.

Am pretty sure ATL is rated one of the best airports in the world.

By far the best laid out of the major hubs in the US. Salt Lake a close second.

Atlanta is more centrally located then either of those.

The middle of the SEC is in Alabama, do you want to have it there?

1) LSU is the only one inconvienced and they have the Sugar Bowl

A&M and Mizzou are pretty far out there as well.

The only teams that will consistently reach the thing that would be inconvenienced is LSU. ATL is closer to the major powers and as far as I am concerned if/when the MS schools, A&M, or Mizzou (again) make it they'd be happy enough to make it to make the trek

So we should change something that isn't broken for the newcomers?

Our trip to ATL was 6x farther than Auburn's. 12 hours by car

bitch, you're a newcomer and you should feel honored to even be here

you're not in the southeast

Atlanta is the heart of the southeast

Atlanta is the biggest city in the southeast

you'll never have to worry about traveling to the game again

so STFU

No offense to my louisiana brethren, but ATL is better than New Orleans every day of the year for the exception of Mardi gras.

Geographic center of SEC...Haleyville, Alabama. Only a 90 minute drive to Birmingham...so...let's just play the game at Legion Field...that would be a fun place to go, said no one ever...

SEC Geographic Center

He said it's a central location for teams that actually make the game. Atlanta is a days' trip from Baton Rouge and LSU has been there 5 times.

No, I merely questioned why it couldn't be rotated.

Look, I know Missouri making championship games is a new and exciting thing for you, but it won't happen on a regular basis. And besides, it's not going to be held in your state and it's not like any other cities mentioned are in driving distance so you're going to fly anyway. Might as well fly to the biggest airport that probably has the cheapest fares.

Can't wait to play in Miami, then fly to Dallas for the first round of playoffs, then off to San Francisco for the championship game...

We don't play it in New Orleans because it's a smaller city and an LSU hub. Plus, the winner would go back to NOLA.

Miami, Tampa, etc. are just horrible ideas. Bowl games in Tampa and Orlando are boring as shite, why play a championship game there?

Atlanta is central for most, and I've never heard anyone but bitchy Louisiana natives complain about an SECCG. It's a great atmosphere and fine venue (which will be updated in 3 years).
