I assume you mean on the field. Texas is doing very well in recruiting and is primed for another top 3 class.

Each team has won 3 of the last 6 meetings. The last 25 meetings have been split pretty evenly as well. 13-12.

No doubt about it, they currently have a better class than we do.....however, the idea is to slowly close the gap, which we are doing.

As a Big 12 school, A&M was basically even or below texas in every category, unless a kid weighted a) growing up an Aggie fan or b) playing time.

A&M can now sell the conference (both the championships and the NFL draft picks), the national coverage that we would not have in the Big 12, and the ability to play in some of the more legendary stadiums and atmospheres in CFB. Texas can sell their program all they want, but their conference they can not. Look at their home schedule this year if you don't believe me.

We have a short grace period where everyone realizes that a 7 win season is "good", but eventually we have to leverage these advantages into wins.

WVU and TCU 5 BCS wins.

The 4 departing Big 12 schools?

I will grant you academics. But nothing else. BTW, for such a small market, WVU's merchandise sales are greater than all 4 of the teams that departed. WVU must have some fans somewhere.

Dude...YOU PLAYED IN THE BIG EAST.

TCU played in the MWC!

Rolling through a shite schedule and laying it all one the line for one real game and winning is great and all, but it is misleading.

Both of you are in a position (according to the rankings) to win the Big 12 this year. Lets see you roll through that schedule and do it.

Whats funny is that everyone acknowledges that TCU/WVU will get a huge recruiting boost since they are in a better conference, and therefore they'll be able to compete in that conference.....yet the same isn't acknowledged about A&M.

On paper, you have more BCS bowl wins and top 15 finishes that ND does in the last 5 or so years. Why did the Big 12 want them more than you? By your logic, both of you are better than ND.

Why did the SEC turn down WVU in favor of Mizzou?

OMG!

They're more obsessed with the Aggies than the Awbs are with Bama!

Makes ITAT look like a Bama love-fest!!

Furthermore, A&M has had absolutely shittastic coaches for the last 2 go arounds (which covers the majority of our time in the Big 12), kind of like Bama and LSU did before they each hired Nick Saban.

WVU and TCU had people at the top smart enough to hire great coaches. I commend both of you for that, and hope that we've finally got it right ourselves.

Why are all WVU fans so dense?

Nobody cares about getting to BCS games in the Big East. Aside from clutching to your auto-bids from the shittiest AQ conference, what does WVU really have on Mizzou or A&M? Nothing.

The Big 12 even wanted PITT more than WVU, but PITT turned them down. The Big 12 settled for both WVU and TCU, just like they'll eventually settle for Louisville and Cincy.

3 BE teams and 1 MWC team = Upgrade!!!

Clearly, because Georgia refused to play Georgia Tech when they left the SEC in the 60's...oh wait, that didn't happen...and Clemson refused to play South Carolina when they left the ACC in the 70's...oh wait, that didn't happen either.

Same with the gayhawk's, they have turned tail and ran from Mizzou, fricking pussies.

If you want some good butthurt read this link from a t.u. poster on BaylorFans:

This quote may be the most delusional yet:

quote:

So who is left? Well, a rejuvenated B12. We are the nation’s last hope to save the integrity of the game of CFB and pry football dominance away from the hands of the uncivilized barbarians from the Southeast. We are the last line of defense for the belief, the sacred ideal, that one can still win on the football field, while still having honor, with athletes who can at least read or write, and with a fanbase who don’t all shop at Wal-Mart and who aren’t all collectively accepting Government welfare payments or food stamps.

And in the next paragraph:
quote:

We, the B12, are the knights in shining armor of the CFB world. And we will smash the false idols of the savages from the Southeast, slay their mutant Urak-hai, and crush the evil eye of Suaron in the final battle of Armageddon to determine whether good or evil finally reigns atop the college football universe. And after our predestined victory, we will go to the defeated and subdued Southeast region and take all your hot co-eds away with our B12 manly good looks and charm (cause even me with my anti-S.E. Region bias have to admit that your co-eds are the hottest pieces of a** walking around on the planet).

Try this one for example:

I would think Baylor is at least the academic equal of GT, and most likely quite superior.

You are right Mizzou fan-getting to the BCS through the BE was not that hard, but it is what WVU did when it got there that was significant.

They beat the SEC Champs, Big 12 champs and laid 70 points on the ACC champs.

We had a bad coach for 3 years(between RROD and DH).
Even during those bad year we were ranked 2 of the 3 years. RROD's last 3 years were all top 10 finishes.

Besides the BE slate WVU has played an SEC West team each of the past 6 years. going 3-1 until we ran into LSU.

WVU is no LSU. No one is arguing WVU is elite. But in football of late(for Huskers) we are better than anything the Big 12 lost. WVU does not have Notre Dame's market. or Mizzou's. and of course not even mizzou is worth a footprint in texas.

SEC was looking at market, not the quality of football or they would not have passed on FSU to take either Mizzou or aggies.

Anyone that would take Pitt over WVU is insane. They have beaten WVU 8 times the last quarter century, and WVU delivers a portion of the Pittsburgh market. WVU has beaten rutgers 17 straight times, but apparently the ACC would take them over WVU too. is there any wonder their conference sucks?

they always do. it seems they are usually overrated imo. yes, they come up with some good teams but yr in, yr out, they underperform. maybe its coaching, maybe it's their "ricky williams" type attitude. "pass the doobie brah, i always partake before kickoff".

I guess the ACC and Big 12 are both insane then. Both wanted Pitt more.

Again, by your logic, you are a better program than Notre Dame. Why does everyone want Notre Dame more than West Virginia though?
