The furthest south Griggs has worked looks to be the city of Fresno California. And the furthest east is Michigan. So not a yankee per see, but likely not ready for Alabama culturally.

Coming from a Coonass fan base this is priceless.
My guess is they have a daughter who is finishing her senior year of HS and is a D1 volleyball player next year. Could it be they are going to finish the HS year back in Seattle.
Coach and his wife are conservative Christians and to get the hades out of liberal Seattle probably is a God send.
