But the narrative that Kiffin quit on the Ole Miss season is not accurate.
It's absolutely accurate. He could have told LSU that he is coaching a current playoff team and if they want him as their HC, wait until his season is over. It's pretty simple. It was LSU's insecurity to not wait because they knew, in the back of their mind, Lane could wind up screwing them and staying at Ole Miss. That's the kind of character you HC has and probably the reason Saban said no when the Bama job opened.

Why don’t you worry about your own playoff game?

So why did they beg Charlie Weiss, Jr to stay and coach their offense after he has accepted the OC job at LSU?
Go ahead and explain the hypocrisy.
WJOX, Cole and GMac had a great interview this morning going on with these details... This was negotiated between OM / LSU AD's if I remember correctly. Lane made it plain with the 'on the plane' or you have no job.
Apparently the staff was polled.. The offensive group was tied to Lane supporting the departure... the defensive, special teams, trainers all were like 'We getting ready for the playoffs, what are you talking about'
This is just another bolt in the middle of the night (aka. Tennessee) story, and will probably remain that way.
Everyone should know by now, it's what you get with LK... regardless of the 'I prayed'.... LMAO.

See Summeral (sp). See Golsh.
He taunted the media (and everyone else) with his tweets.
Guess we will see if he can bring stability to LSU.
