Not sure why some people don't like him.
He's passionate and works hard to stay engaged with fans (sure sometimes fansOnly shirtless) but seriously... what does he do that you wouldn't want your coach doing to rebuild a program?

Yep, he is so much like Pearl it’s crazy. We love him but it is easy to see how others would hate him, just like Pearl. They are a bit different in game plan but personality are very similar to each other.

And every team in the SEC, except maybe Auburn, would trade coaches for that dork in a heartbeat. Including (and especially) Kentucky.

He behaves in a way very similar to others with Napoleon Complexes. Simple as that.
Good coach, though. He's just the guy, like Pearl and to a lesser degree Oats, everyone loves to hate, but if he were coaching their team, they'd love him. If he acted like that and was losing, nobody would bother to hate him. They'd just laugh at him.

Lol every fanbase ? Dont think muss has won the sec or the secT. Hes a good coach but hes no better than cal, pearl, oats, and barnes. All of them have won sec titles in reg season and secTs.

To be fair, I don't think any of us expected this at all this year so we're basically playing with house money and pleasantly surprised. At one point midway through the season we were pretty much certain we wouldn't even make the tourney.
The fact that we've scraped by to eeek out a Sweet 16 appearance in a rebuilding year where we didn't expect much, has left us understandably giddy and surprised. We have nothing to lose at this point, we've already gone so much further than expected

I think Muss is 2008 era style cringe, but he is a much better coach than Oats. Even with Oats championship he won with Avery's players.
