Much respect to LSU for playing this game.
Mike Gundy said something to the effect that as long as there's 11 players healthy, they're suiting up or something to that effect.
There's no excuse for A&M quitting, they easily could have quarantined, got healthy, and played.
This game will mean something to the LSU players and more experience will only better prepare them for next season.

Well colonel dingus.... he hadn't practiced all year and honestly, not playing in order to ensure that's his arm is fully healthy is the right call.

You’ve used some mental gymnastics to somehow insert this. The game on Tuesday has zero to do with Myles. He’s barely practiced with the team this year. Let’s allow the 2021 band of brothers the chance to finish this out, regardless of the outcome.

Not the same at all. A&M officially opted out 10 days before the game. There were rumors of opting out 12-13 days before the game.
Exactly how long do you think Covid is contagious for? Good lord. The bigger issue is optics. How many players tested positive? How many players were sidelined due to contact tracing. How many players tested positive but were asymptomatic? How many players that were positive for any reason would still be contagious a week later much less 10 days later?
Equating A&M situation to the current LSU situation is completely disengenous. A&M fricked up and didn't message this correctly. I don't give a frick what you say.
Optics for A&M completely suck at the very least and you know it.

Never once said A&M made the right decision or that I condone it. I think all the Covid protocols are stupid. I think we do look like quitters or at the very least mishandled the situation.
But I also don’t think LSU is some battered band of heroes playing for some sense of pride. It’s their own fault they have less than 40 players. If they “had a culture of bravery” BK would cut all of the perfectly healthy players that opted out to send a message. Will they do that? frick no. They’d lose a significant chunk of their roster for next season. So don’t tell me about culture when y’all are perfectly fine with your players quitting.

There's been less than 5 "healthy" opt outs and they're all going to the NFL next year.
Realistically, like 2 or 3.
