I don't doubt you, perception is everything, whether it's really true or not.

For the record, I think he’s hilarious.

I get people not liking him, just be honest about why.
He doesn't bounce around more than anyone else and it's always been for a better job, when he has done it.
I would say the same thing even if he wasn't LSU's head coach.

Besides being a good football coach Lane’s life is a drama magnet.
He’s a quirky guy, he’s good on social media and enough sketchiness in his history makes him a polarizing and interesting figure.
He and his family could probably do one of those “reality shows” and people would tune it because they love him or they love to hate him.

No one has bounced around like Lane. Left UT at the altar, got left on the tarmac by USC, had a once in a lifetime overhead projector presentation firing by Al Davis from the Raiders, and just ditched a CFP team before the playoffs in one of their best seasons ever.

Inherently false.
DeBoer has had like 5 jobs in the last 8 years.

I mean, hoes are notoriously easy if you can pay enough.

are you just completely unfamiliar with the coaching profession?
Nick Saban had 4 different head coaching positions over a 9 year period of time.

No ten win a year coach has ever left his team for another SEC job. Ever. It’s unprecedented in this league.
Bill Curry left Alabama for Kentucky after going 10-2 on the season in 1989.

I'm sure he's dealing with it just fine.

You guys are still melting about Saban leaving 20 years ago and he did it in like the nicest way possible

I was 10 years old when Saban left, I barely even remember it.

Funny thing is I have seen a 10 win a year coach get fired in the SEC. Ask Les Miles. I know you are probably struggling with it, but Ole Miss is going to be mediocre once again. It’s ok though, we made it 65 years without y'all winning shite so whats another 65 gonna hurt.

Oh, I think a lot of the bitching is Big 10 money, and some PTSD for good measure. They're terrified that the SEC will resurge, and don't want that at all. They thought with Saban retiring and the rest of the conference in decline, they'd gotten past that. All they had to worry about was UGA, and a single team can't carry the conference (unless it was Bama, and even then it wasn't as dominant as the decade before).
They lost their minds over Kelly coming from Notre Dame, but he turned out to be a dud. Out of gas by the time he came to BR.
Kiffin, though, he has energy. He could revive LSU... which doesn't cut into UGA's recruits. So you could have LSU and UGA simultaneously whipping arse. That, in turn, could push Bama to step back up to compete, and suddenly we go into another cycle of SEC teams winning every year. Ohio State couldn't keep up before, and there's nobody outside of Oregon to push them every year in the Big 10.

Is this a troll thread from an LSU fan about Kiffin?
