They've only got 2 NCs in the Big 3 sports:
1980 Football
1990 Baseball
That ties South Carolina with 2, and is just 1 more than Vanderbilt.
They are not in the higher tier of SEC programs.
Prove me wrong.
Doesn’t Auburn have two also?

Their overall program is very good. Don’t sell them short.
Last year they were #2 in the sec overall standings.

The only thing they're a "big boy" in is running their mouth. All hat and no cattle.

Vegas sees UGA as a "big boy."
Third best odds to win Natty in 2019 @ 6:1

So what sport would replace baseball in "the big 3"?
There is no #3.

We asked for approval & was granted. HOWEVER, GB has changed theirs to match us. So WHO is copying WHOM?

They also won 2 natties in track last year,
This isn’t a dig on Georgia but how many track national titles do they give out each year? It seems like every school in the conference claims track national titles.

If programs like Ole Miss, Arkansas and Vanderbilt can break even or turn profits, then you have to assume storied programs like South Carolina and Florida are doing it wrong.
It's a culture at LSU...and everything Texas AM touches turns to gold. So why does it work in Fayetteville and Oxford but not in Columbia SC and Gainesville?
If baseball pays its bills and then some, it's a major sport. You throw resources at it to create even more revenue.
If Florida is making a profit with gymnastics...it's a major sport. If LSU isn't trying to replicate that, then we are fools.
$$$ determines what the major sports are. Not YOUR individual interest.

So you're in agreement that only football and basketball are major college sports.

What's going on y'all. Although this is my first time posting, I've actually followed this site quite a bit over the recent years. I thought I was above arguing SEC football with anonymous people online, but alas, here I am...
Recognizing my bias as a Dawgs fan, I'd posit that Georgia is "considered a big boy" due to the fact that they have consistently been a contender to win the East, and have been a potential playoff candidate the past few years.
Due to the incredible talent bred in the state of GA (mostly thanks to ATL), Georgia will invariably have top 5 (and at worst, top 10) recruiting classes despite the year's performance. Obviously, I wish we could have won a Natty since 1980. Nonetheless, Georgia will always be considered a better football school than places like Auburn, who consistently have mediocre seasons even after winning a championship.
There is no doubt that seemingly spontaneous fluke seasons (such as Auburn with sloppy seconds Cam Newton) is less esteemed than consistent achievement (like UGA's frequent 10 + win seasons). Even if those seasons don't culminate in a natty, the fact that they are "at the top" for so long vindicates their status as a "big boy." I'd say only Alabama, LSU, and potentially UF (solely thanks to Tebow) are above UGA in the big boy classification.
And by the way, to all your Auburn fans, this is not intended as a knock on your program. UGA is extraordinary lucky to have no capable in-state rival. Sharing an already small state with the best program in the country, while being surrounded by recruiting states owned by other programs, is an almost insurmountable task. I don't think we would fare as well if placed in the same circumstances.
If this rant was too long, let me know and I'll shut up for my next one.
