Why is Chiz throwing his players under the bus?

All he's been saying is that it's youth that is causing them to lose games. Not a thing about terrible coaching. Why can't he take some of the blame?
I'm surprised he didn't throw out this gem again, from his loss in Oct.

This is the first Auburn team since 1950 to lose two games in the same year by more than 35 points

Chizik believes the answer is for players to simply adapt to the difficult circumstances.

"You hate to end on such a terrible game. The score doesn't reflect how close it was," Chizik said.

Should have blamed the fans. That is where the responsibility really lies.
ETA: FWIW- He in no way through the players under the bus, but you knew that before posting this.

Couldn't youth be a huge part of it though? You can coach them up all you want, but experience is almost as important. I'm sure the young players will perform much better next year.

Because Chizik and his dream-team staff are incapable of being out-coached.

Losing by an average of 28 ppg in their losses. Don't think some coaching up could prevent those kind of blowouts? 2 top 5 recruiting classes, his third yr there, coming off a NC and fortunate not to be 4-6 right now. Can't put that all on the players.

I find it unsurprising that you failed to put the entire quote and meaning in your first post.
quote:
“Leadership is a huge, huge element,” Chizik said. “We certainly need more leadership, I don’t think there’s any question about that. We all have to do a better job.” (He added that coaches also need to do a better job in this manner.)
As always, GFY.

Is youth the reason this team as quit. They quit in both the LSU and UGA games. Eugene thinks young players quit.
