Just curious what about their resume screams lock right now?
I see 5 wins vs tourney teams I think? Not terrible but I'm no bracketologist

Auburn is getting the benefit of recent success. Their team has shown that they can compete with anyone, and I think that’s enough for the selection crew to put them in.

The committee uses more advanced metrics now. Remember when Vandy got in with like 16 wins just because they played a hard schedule?

I totally agree.. I also want to know how Tennessee is projected a 3 seed and so high in the rankings.. They have gone 4-6 in their last 10 games and have been ranked in the top 10 until recently.. Yes they beat Alabama, but I believe all of their losses were to unranked teams

Because Tennessee has 7 Q1 wins, including wins over Kansas, Texas and Alabama, and only 2 bad but not horrible losses - Colorado and Florida.

Metrics look good, only one blow out loss, haven't lost any games we shouldn't have other than @UGA. Then we have just enough resume wins to be a lock with UT, Missouri, Northwestern, Arkansas, Miss State, Florida and also beat Colgate, Saint Louis, Bradley.
But the word "lock" can be misleading, cause flip any single one of our wins to a loss this season and we are probably right on the dead center of the bubble. More just that we are firmly on the good side of the bubble and the teams behind us haven't done enough to change that.

I don’t think auburn is a lock… they’re probably on the right side of the bubble, but things can change (say, if VU wins the SECT).
Auburn also doesn’t have “bad” losses, like most bubble teams… and we’re competitive in most every game (unlike VU).

We know 
Bama, Vandy, A&M, Tenn, Ark… these were all winnable games away from home. They weren’t necessarily “should have won”, but definitely winnable.
