I agree - this is pre-season and AU has the least amount of ?'s in the pre-season. They've got plenty of talent and damn near the whole offense back.

While this is true, Auburn had success last year against down defenses. This year LSU, Bama, A&M and Ole Miss will have improved defenses, especially in the secondaries.

I know there are 2 RBs with experience are there any WRs? I know you guys lost the top 3 right?

Magee and Hilliard with Fournette. I have no idea if Hilliard is back to Freshman form or not so we might be thin at RB (comparatively). The WR's have little or no experience. Most are young and highly touted...but not proven. The QB's have no experience save one with a mundane bowl performance. The OL is a great strength.

We have a pretty big hill to climb no doubt. But like I said, UA doesn't have a proven QB, AU doesn't have a dominant D, the East doesn't look like it will have a 'super' team, so it all looks pretty open to me.

Magee was explosive last year. Him and Fournette will probably get most of the carries.

I don't agree with some of your points, but Alabama being rated #3 or whatever at this point is ridiculous. Unfortunately I don't think we will see us outside of the top 5-7 preseason while Saban is here unless he was a trainwreck of a season with 4 or more losses.

We shouldn't be SEC preseason pick with so many unknowns.

Magee is very explosive. I'm not sure if he can get the carries that Hill did though, but he definitely has some burst. I've heard Hilliard has dropped a little weight and is in better shape but I'll believe it when I seeit.

True - but AU's defense will also be improved this season which should take some of the pressure off of your offense. IMO, a second year in Ellis' system will do wonders for your defense.

Right now today, IMO AU has less major ?'s than Bama or LSU. You have a solid OL/QB/WR and talented RBs. Although y'all will miss that punter tremendously, that kid was fantastic.

2014 SEC darkhorse team > Ole Miss.

Definitely Ole Miss. I can see them upsetting 1 or 2 teams.

i think if Freeze has learned from his shortcomings in previous years, Ole Miss could be dangerous. But if i see that bastard get in the shotgun on 4th and inches again, i wont expect much from the Rebelbears

LSU
LSU's defense doesn't match up well with Auburn's offense on paper this year. Two defensive tackles who have basically never played going up against an offensive line who returns 4 starters from an offense that led all of college football in rushing offense last year. LSU's defensive line is likely going to get pushed all over the field

I think Kiffin is a game changer for the Tide. If the Aggies don't win the SEC, Alabama most certainly does.

See the "Why is Nick Saban so short?" thread.

I wouldn't be completely surprised if both Bama and LSU completely shut AU's offense down this year. Give 2 of the conferences best defensive minds extensive film and it will be very hard to recreate scoring opportunities for AU

Good thing it was Gus' first year with that Mickey Mouse offense against Saban & Kirby in 2013. Plus the game was at the beginning of the year too, so they obviously didn't have 11 games of footage to gameplan around either.

After this new information has come to light, there is no way Auburn's High School O will ever score again on Saban.

Typical BS deflecting sarcastic response joeyb...and I expect much more from you

Don't discount the fact that Bama's front 7 and subsequently the pass rush look like they will be significantly improved. I can't speak for LSU who already beat Auburn last year. The loss of Auburns leading RB, #2 overall NFL draft pick LT, and phenomenal FB hurt the balance of the offense for Auburn which plays perfectly into the hands of Bama's and LSU's D schemes who are usually better up front.

That is why I said what I said

If there's one thing Chavis has proven in his time at LSU it's that he knows how to stop spread offenses.
