Some of you auburn fans are just too cool for school.

And some of you actually are cool.

I am 27 And a single young professional. I'm commuting to Vance most days, and Hoover only on Fridays. I get the commuting thing, but honestly I'm not too worried about it. I like to get up with the roosters anyways.

Thanks for the replies everyone one. I'll have to check out downtown and a few of those other areas mentioned.

Let me know if you guys would recommend any good apartments/lofts to take a look at.

Thanks for the advice!

Yeah maybe if I provide more information people could help me more.

Rent: $1000 or less (I'm cheap and like to save)
I prefer an apartment (no need for a house right now)
Single guy with no family (being decently close to a night scene would be great)
My job requires quite a bit of travel so being close to the airport would be a plus.
I visit the Mercedes plant (Vance) quite a bit.
Main office is in Hoover (we only show up on Fridays).

All I can think of right now. Let me know what you guys think!

Have a great day and as always RTR

Birmingham Residents

Hey I just accepted an offer to a firm in Birmingham (hoover). I am looking for areas to live in but I'd like to get some informed opinions from people that live/have lived there. I was raised north alabama and know very little of the city.

From my research and understanding so far is to look for places like hoover, mountain brook, etc..

Just looking for an area that everyone else looks for..low crime, traffic, and rental prices :D. Any Ideas?

Any help would be appreciated I really have no idea what I'm doing.

Thanks everyone!

Rival order

Posted by talk_nerdy_to_me on 7/2/15 at 4:51 pm
I was talking about this to a friend (new law school student) who was formerly an LSU fan (Yes I converted her). The way I understand our rivals (if there is an order) is something like this:
Auburn > Tennessee > Big drop off > probably UF? > then maybe LSU?

Now I have older family members who claim that Tennessee is a bigger rival for them than AU...I am in my 20's so for me i grew up watching us streak an unspeakable amount of losses to them and have decided they were my biggest rival.

What do you guys think? Thoughts?

Have a good hump day
