OMFG. Here is the list of killers that Alabama has had on its OOC slate since 2005:

Please stick to the logic the OP has set forth. By his logic, LSU is 'being a pussy' by pushing to deliberately play Vandy as much as possible. I thought the tongue in cheekness of my post in making fun of the general retardation of the OP was pretty apparent but I guess not to all.

Anyway, what are you doing for the Bama/Michigan game to kick off the season?

Because it's fair and frick your traditions. Why should I care?

This is the one area where me and DS agree. Rotate everyone.

But, If I were an LSU fan. I'd take the UF game in a heartbeat and make it one of the biggest rivalries in CFB. Just my opinion though.

Alot do think that. A very few don't. Look at other big time rivalries, with two good teams. They relish them. These fans do not. They are the epitome of bandwagon fans. Give them cupcakes so they can win and yell and tout their greatness, and when they have to face a good team, whether regular season or in the NC, it's cry, cry, cry.

Hunter,

I have to give you and your "Clan" props for their posts in this thread. Very few allowed their inner Gump to roam freely.

This is a 14 team conference that only plays 8 games. The schedules are never going to be close to balanced.

Would you be fine with four teams going 6-1-1 and ten going 6-2?

Godamnit you people still just don't get it.

Under a rotational system, we would still play one of the "big" teams in the spot we currently play Florida every year. There would never be a year when we would have Vandy and UK as our two East opponents and I wouldn't want that.

Those teams would still have an advantage over the other ten.

The general age split is those born after 1978/1979. Those younger than the '78 split that view UT as the #1 tend to be from the UT/AL boarder war region or have parents the drilled the UT sucks mindset into them from birth.

I guess LSU fans don't get it because you don't have a rival, but things like the Iron Bowl, the Egg Bowl, The Third Saturday in October, The World's Biggest Outdoor Cocktail Party, The Oldest Rivalry in the South are the types of traditions that make college football special and make the SEC special. Hell, even the annual LSU/UF game is pretty cool and good for college football. I think preserving these things outweighs generating a small amount of greater equity in scheduling.

We played Oregon and WVU OOC last year and we're all about some cupcakes? GTFO
