aggie aint getting in without winning the SEC

They're so painfully stupid they don't understand this.

Washington has the 16th toughest remaining schedule in America... A&M has the 40th toughest remaining schedule.

Up to this point Washington had played the 60th toughest schedule. If Washington wins out, they're going to be in the playoff along with the SEC champ, ACC champ, and B10 champ.

A two loss Bama team is still in the top 10 by seasons end. Y'all have the resume built already so that can't be a big hit on A&M. If Bama were to lose this weekend then A&M would remain at #4 and Bama at #5. If Bama only loses to auburn on the final weekend and A&M loses to LSU then auburn jumps everyone to be the only sec team in the playoff

What did Don Meredith say about "ifs and buts"? Right now A&M would go to the playoffs. If Alabama continues to win as does A&M (but they must win impressively), their playoff chances will still be significant.

Plus LSU winning out before the A&M game would have them ranked high and a&m knocking us off would make them look great

That's a good point, I just highly doubt they would put two one loss SEC teams in; but I have now idea what situation will be best for us in the committees eyes.

I do however know the teams in other conferences 100% help us with losses.

I don't know how to use semicolons

The stronger Alabama looks, the less damage the Alabama loss will have on their chances of making the playoffs..it's simple.

Better wins matter more than "better loss". In addition, losing to Alabama is already the best loss you can have, regardless if Alabama loses one or two more games. You want LSU to be as highly ranked as possible when you play them for another marquee matchup down the road.

Because the are concerned about beating LSU later in the season which would put them out of any playoff consideration. They are holding on to dwindling hope that LSU knows all too well from past seasons.

Bama could win the rest of their games 50-0 and A&M still wouldn't get in. The only way they will is if a team like UNC or VT wins the ACC or Colorado wins the Pac12 or Bama loses 2 games

You want LSU to be ranked as high as possible going into thanksgiving weekend. Huge marquee matchup in the last game of the year, the last time the committee watches A&M play, could make up for not playing on conference championship weekend.

Losing to Bama in Tuscaloosa is a good loss. Bama going undefeated or Bama losing 1 game to LSU doesnt change that.

Because if Bama wins out and A&M wins out they look the best of any 1 loss team.

Clemson is unlikely to lose, the big 10 will get a team in.

That 4 spot is theirs if Washington loses and both Bama and them win out. Maybe even the 3 seed.

not really.

a 1 loss bama still has a very high probability of going to the SEC championship game and then a playoff.

There will not be 2 SEC teams in the CFP.

Y'all need them to lose twice anyways and force championship weekend on the final weekend. Auburn would have to win the iron bowl while y'all beat us. Aggie gonna aggie

I had to root for Auburn to beat the black bears the past two years for the same reason...and it sucked monkey balls. I kept catching myself cheering when Ole Miss scored, and then lowering my head when I realized that wasn't really a good thing.

How many times does it need to be said? Bama being undefeated vs. having 1-loss has little bearing on A&M's resume because the committee will see their road loss to Bama as a "good loss" no matter what.

What A&M needs is marquee games down the road. Great wins > "great loss". Playing and beating a highly ranked LSU on the last weekend of the regular season is more important than Bama being undefeated.

Ohio State has a marquee game against Michigan that weekend. A&M needs a marquee game against LSU to avoid getting jumped by the Buckeyes. They need LSU to win out going into that game.

Have you ever banged a chick thinking it was a one night stand. But you hit it so good, that they won't quit calling and wanting more?

That's why.

This. Why is the obvious so difficult for LSU fans to comprehend? The explanation and analysis last night even said we were being credited for our only loss being at #1 Bama.

Bama losing to both LSU and Auburn is more unlikely than Washington dropping a game (or two) along the way and us sliding into the 4 spot. Washington is the Pac-12's only hope of getting into the playoffs. If they lose, then both the Pac-12 and Big 12 are out of the playoffs, which means the best 1-loss team from another conference will get in.

This is all assuming we were to win out, but that requirement applies for either scenario.

You are going to need a conference title to make the playoffs, period. I promise it's ok to admit that A&M fans would refuse to root for LSU even if they knew it benefited their team.
