They why was Arnold brought in? Seems Freeze has a talent evaluation problem. How much is Arnold getting paid?
No idea what kind of deal he got. But, I’m sure Hugh saw a few tools and thought he could “fix” him. And, with a run game, he still could end up being a serviceable starter.

unnecessary sacks.

Every single sack he has taken has been necessary.
Don't down play the role of sacks on barn qbs.
They are ALL necessary.

Our QB can’t read defenses, holds onto the ball too long, and takes unnecessary sacks.

Is he related to Jalen Milroe ?

Based on auburn's last 5 season's they are exactly where they are supposed to be. Fighting for a .500 season and praying for a miracle against Bama.

Anyone consider JA makes the O-lines look worse because he holds the ball too long.

Its definitely a mixture of both.

An OL that struggles pass blocking, a QB that holds the ball too long and route concepts that make no sense at all. An awful combination.

I would assume he knows he’s on the hot seat?
If he doesn't, he's far dumber than anyone ever thought.

He's lucky that he has a job today.

Same reason NFL teams don't go to the backup. Too much money invested in the starter.

Freeze must have coached Arnold to hold the ball longer as opposed to what he did at Oklahoma which was drop back, find his 1st read was not open and then take off running. Freeze had him do this based on the perception that a decent group of receivers would enable him to find an open man before the pocket collapsed around him.

He should let Arnold play with his instincts which are based on the fight-or-flight reflex and let the boy do it his way.

Same problem Peyton Thorpe had.

Much like the NFL, once you invest to that level, you gotta stick with him. They overpaid and they’re losing their asses.

I don’t know when you cut your losses and move on, but that money is spent.

When JA hit the portal and Lebby didn't go all in on him that told me enough.

They're paying top dollar for that guy, they gotta get every dime of mediocrity out of him.
