Up until the Saban era OU was right there if not a bigger fish than Bama. Even today Bama is the only program that is truly better than OU without a debate.
Hell we are easily their biggest W-L nemesis & they've pretty much owned us the better part of 45 years as well.

bullshite. OU was hot garbage for most of the decade before Stoops arrived. Even with Stoops, they only won one title. They put up pretty numbers but it was all window dressing. Prior to that, the sucked for a decade before Fairbanks made them relevant.
OU is eye candy.

How was pre realignment big 12 and big 8 weak? Played Nebraska, Texas every season plus Colorado who won NCs...2001-2010 the big 12 was far stronger than the sec. big 12 south was the best conference in CFB you fricking simpletons. LSU is about to find out how a blue blood handles things when they are disrespected. Also OU won an NC in January of 2001...

I’ll chalk it up to the ignorance of life in general much less CFB for the avg poster, but you should educate yourself on OU’s history in the following:
-Appearances & record in top 4 bowls
-Number of match ups & results vs top 10 opponents
-Non conference record vs individual opponents
OU may be the bane of my existence, but show some goddamn respect & an ounce of knowledge for this sport’s history.

2001-2010, 10 teams in the Big 12 produced 39 top 25 rankings in the final AP poll, Texass and Oklahomo accounting for 18 (46%) appearances.
2001-2010, 10 teams in the SEC produced 47 top 25 rankings in the final AP poll, LSU and Georgia accounting for 16 (34%) appearances.
Explained for fricking simpletons, the Big 12, south, north, east, or west, has never been the best conference in college football.

Ever been to Stillwater?
There is your answer.
In regards to the Big 12. The Big 8 saved the ole SWC cheaters. Texas and their Ponzi scheme in the Big 12 destroyed a very good conference.

Ohio State is on the same level with Bama and OU in both a historical and current perspective.

They have two championships in the last twenty years. Best conference in CFB my arse.
To be fair though, I wouldnt expect a Mizzou fan to know about the best of anything...

LSU had just as many championships as that entire conference in that time period.

And to what do you chalk up the ignorance of the effect of playing powder-puff teams all season, with the exception of 1 or two weeks a year? Sure does make all those things you want to puff your Texass chest, and dick ride Oklahomo for easier to accomplish, doesn't it?

I would agree that the SEC has dominated since the inception of the Big 12 back in 1994.
However the Big 12 was playing some very good football. If the SEC was #1 then the Big 12 was #2.
Nebraska, Colorado, Kansas, Kansas State, Texas A&M, Texas, OU, and Missouri all finished in the top 10 multiple times. A lot of people forget that when the Big 12 was formed the Big 12 North had Colorado, Nebraska, and Kansas State who finished in the AP Top 10 multiple years in a row. OK State was a multi year Top 25 team in that stretch as well.

Big 12 may have been "incepted" in 1994, but its first season wasn't until Fall 1996.

Did you ignorant fools start watching CFB In 2012 or something? Playing Nebraska, Texas, Colorado and KState is NOT a powder puff schedule. 3 of those teams won multiple NCs over the past 60 years with Nebraska and OU winning 1-2 per decade. Colorado had some monster teams in the 90s. If you exclude Alabama’s recent run, Oklahoma, Texas and Nebraska account for more NC wins over the past 50 years than the entire sec does.

"Explained for simpleton's"... CFB has been around for longer than 2001.

Also it’s been 19 years since their last national title
Dominating a shitty conference doesn’t make you great.
