Is that like the 18-year old Church Point, LA girl who fvcked her father-in-law in her marriage bed and had kids by him and it all played out on HER Facebook page?

I understand this is foreign to Bama fans, but in-laws aren’t blood related.

He said, live on tv, 2 yrs ago : " the 3 greatest days of my life have been the 3 NC's that Alabama has won". He's openly bragged about "Mrs. Terry , showing me around their home, let me look into Nick's closet". He takes his promoting of bama to extremes. It all may well be an act but he's putting bama front & center on a show that's supposed to cover the SEC.
He puts on an act which inflames a large part of his listener base and sits back while the calls roll in. Used to be it was either Alabama fans or Auburn fans. Now it's the entire SEC.
He's doing what he's always done and, with you at least, it's working.

People have speculated for years that callers were paid to maintain their over-the-top personas for entertainment purposes, which is probably true.
One thing that's never discussed, however, is that he seemed to have a similar m.o. when certain coaches got on his bad side (say, for example if they had a contentious media relationship, or had "wronged" someone in particular).
Back in the day I had heard several callers phone-in out of the blue with a short blurb about a random coach, which oddly launched Paul into a tirade about how said coach arguably needed to be fired if something didn't change, solely as if the caller had brought the concept up. And it would keep happening over time until the discussion became self-perpetuating through other callers.
Over the years this used to occur regularly enough that you could tell it was purposeful on his part, and that he was using certain shill callers to not only provide entertainment, but possibly advance his personal agenda by sowing targeted dissension, IMO.
I'm not sure if he actually wanted someone fired, or if he just wanted other people to argue about it, but I have a feeling it was possibly a little bit of both.

He stuck it up there when he was a reporter during the Bear years because he had a man crush. Now, because of those giant ears it won't come out. This assclown actually had the gall to call Tuberville "wing nut" because of his big ears.

Because he's bald and there's less friction.

Why does Paul Finebaum have his head so far up Alabamas
Cause that little paint chip eater went to Tennessee!!! Come on think about it, look at that little dweeb, he has to be protected by someone he couldn’t fight his way out of a wet paper bag! So who would you rather have on your side Bama or Tenn?
I rest my case!

Because it pisses people off and that makes for good ratings.

You have to understand the roots of his radio/TV career. He sucked early in his career, but some Bama Boosters used him to get rid of some coaches they did not like. He was a sock puppet for them and they financed his show during the early years. He remained loyal to them and vice versa until he got syndicated. Most of his inside sources were Bama Booster or Bama connections within the SEC Offices. He knows who buttered the bread.

Oh, I get what he's doing, as neither he or his regular callers are rocket scientists. In his first years on his show, he admitted that he would meet with a few of them off the air & script their call ins. I know he is a shite pot stirrer. But in doing so during Saban's run, he's still putting bama in front of the camera way too much. I know a high placed alum from a League school whose athletic dept. had an intern counting how many times a show he talked about bama and showed film clips. That his "report" was sent to the League office & nothing happened was no surprise.

LOL They were not paying the callers. Do you really think you need to pay people to be attention whores?

You are correct, Bama spent a lot of money propping up Jay Barker, Matt Coulter, Ryan Brown, Lance Taylor, Jim Dunaway, Wes Neighbors, Redfish and Moore (bamascoop). Too bad they were not worth a shite. If you throw enough crap against the way a Finebaum will stick.

Don't worry. Once we hit the skids (and we will eventually) he'll have the knife in our backs before we even realize what happened.
