StepL- the reason there was suppose to be a major drop off that didn't happen was a lot of players projected to leave came back. Once they came back everyone said the d would be the same. And how many of those players could start on LSU? Not many.

Doesn't really matter how many players amassed stats. I'd like to see what percentage of stats were from first team, what percentage from second, etc. That and a breakdown of minutes played by each string at each position. with all the blowouts, early minutes would be much more significant.

Agreed. All this banter adds up to nothing. Let's tee it up and play ball. I respect Bama, but I like our chances.

You are right, we have no depth either.
No QB, no RB, no LB. Mfor fricks sake, we should just stay home.
Actually, this no count team beat y'all last year. A shallow ULM and Utah St team, and a one man AU team beat the chosen teams arse in the past. Hell, we will just come over just for kicks.

last I heard last year there was supposed to be some major drop off and Bama has one of the best defenses ever put together..
WTF?
Bama returned their entire defense.
No one was was expecting a "major drop off".
Dolt.
LSU, on the other hand, lost their 3 best players on defense, and the defense got better.
It's not about more depth, it's about more proven depth.

So let me get this straight.....26 players have recorded tackles for loss this year? Yet, your overall defensive stats STILL aren't as good as Bama's. With all that depth, youre still allowing more yardage per game than Alabama. Obviously our few are WAY better than your many.

How much experience does bama's number 2 QB have?
might be a key position sometime...
