Well I was rolling tide and shifting man
Around that Jordan Turnpike
Barner stopped me with his stunt
Ten minutes after kickoff
Said sir you broke the limit in that rusty old jumbo
I don't know about that run game son
Just where did you come from

We oughta play Song of the South and My Home's in Alabama

No clue why we won't play those songs instead of trying to force Friends in Low Places and Its A Great Day To Be Alive. Would love for us to play Hank Jr's "All in Alabama" but that will never happen. Our AD is way too corporate to allow that.

We ought to be playing Dixieland Delight, too, damn it.

We ought to play some good music instead.

How about something that's not country?

Can't remember when they started it, but they've been doing awhile now and it's caught on when the most of the stadium sings along with it.

Hey man, if I was the DJ, I'd make everyone listen to the entirety of Mountain Jam.

Written and performed by a band from Florida. Oh the shame.

A) Not many non-country songs about Alabama or The South that 80% of the stadium would be able to get behind like they do Dixieland Delight.

B) We're talking about one song, not the entire stadium playlist that obviously includes all genres.

The real shame is how Basket Case became our 4th Quarter song simply because the MDB was too lame to change.

But they really started playing a lot more country songs this year than in years past. It's a noticeable difference.

I'd guess because it has the name 'Baton Rouge' in the title and they love to shout the word LOUISIANA in the first line of the song.

Tom Petty’s from Gainesville. General location doesn’t have anything to do with the school itself, or so I’ve heard

We play quite a bit that isn't country. I think specifically to replace the sing along song of Dixeland Delight one of those options should be picked.

Outside of that, hit me with all the C Murder you got.
