Hutson Mason in 2014. He was actually top 10 in the country is passer rating.
Greyson Lambert in 2015. He set an NCAA record for consecutive completions against South Carolina but it was all downhill from there.

LSU is going to be downright nasty this year! We bring back “Big Dick Burrow”, a veteran OL, WRs, DL, LBs even though White left, and backfield.
The biggest question for LSU in 2019 is RB position, but we recruited very well there. If they develop quick, look out.
I’m more worried about Aranda’s bend but don’t breat defense. He was awesome his first year, good his second year, but I felt he took a step back last year. We were awful vs UF and Texas A&M. We couldn’t stop that bullshite option vs UF and A&M ran all over us. We did better vs them in the second half, but never stopped them in OT.
LSU has always been known for aggressive defenses and we need to get back to that!
Almost forgot, we need to start scoring vs Bama to win!

Because I can think of three programs that are better. Think about it. You could consider Oregon a top 5 program.

It ain’t like we recruitin terrible QBs. Almost all of them were pretty highly ranked coming out of high school. We’ve just not had an OC who could utilize their talent properly or develop them further.

I think when talking about top programs it's more about big picture. Imo Texas is and will always be the top football program in the country. They just have the wrong people involved.

LSU has averaged ten wins a season over the last 19 years . Two national championships, played for another. Four SEC championships, played for another . All while playing at a time when the SEC was HISTORICALLY good and it’s permanent opponents were winning another eight national championships. So babble on about underachieving all you want, but only one other team in this conference can top it.
