Texas beat Alabama @ Alabama. If they have the same record on Sunday, Alabama is not jumping Texas

Not so fast…that was early in the season and it is obvious that Bama has played better of late and Texas has not.

2/4* TCU is the only one that Texas does not have an excuse for. K State was a backup vs a ranked opponent.

He knows it's completely asinine. He's just an Arkansas fan that doesn't want Texas in the playoffs.

The Pac winner is in the loser is out no matter what that's the way the committee is going to run this out likely because the pinko conference is going to be no more.

Not so fast... Texas won by 50 last week against a 6-6 team... Bama won on a miracle against a 6-6 team.

Because their opponents are better, and they will have beat Wash to get there. Alabama needs Texas to lose, and both need FSU to lose as well.

The rankings tell the story no matter what message the media wants to push

26-16 Texas Tech is not ideal
29-26 Like you mentioned was rough
33-30 Kansas State, is not good. They are a 3 loss team and when you are trying to make the playoffs you really need to make a splash against some teams. Had y'all gotten Kansas State by a good margin it would have made a statement. Sometimes you have to do back to back games and play well. I mean, if you make the playoffs you will have two straight top 4 teams.

If they beat Washington they'll be 12-1. Most of the media seems to have conceded that Oregon will get in with a win. Why should they automatically get in over a one loss Bama or Texas? Seems like that should be a vigorous debate but media thinks it's a foregone conclusion.

I agree, I think if Michigan, Oregon, Texas, Alabama, Florida State all win…the debate might be more between Oregon and Fla State for that 4th spot.

If Florida State wins, they are in. You do not leave an undefeated P5 team out. You simply cannot

Tech was 57-7
Iowa State was 26-16

TCU there's no excuse

Again K- State was with a redshirt Freshman at the helm. No committee is going to discredit a team for winning with a backup.

All that matters is that Texas wins and FSU loses. A Bama win would work too. Texas has the H2H vs Bama and would then have the "Common opponent" edge vs Georgia.

It has nothing to do with any of that. PAC is dying and the committee will get them in no matter what.

It's quite obviously not because Oregon has a better resume than Texas or Alabama. They absolutely do not.

If Texas wins and Bama wins, Texas is almost guaranteed a spot. Win over SEC Champion at their home field is arguably best win all season. If Bama loses badly, it could get dicey for Texas if its them or Oregon imo

If Bama wins, Texas immediately has a better win than Oregon, and they have a conference championship.

More likely than Bama being out and TX getting in is Oregon being out and both of them getting in.

And Washington is only Pac12 good. They might be able to compete with Michigan for a half, but a motivated Georgia gives them the TCU treatment.

They shouldn't be above Texas and Bama

They will be highest seeded 1 loss team. It's not right, but it will be what it is.

I think they're going to go with undefeated P5 conference champs, then one-loss P5 conference champs, then one-loss non P5 conference champs, then maybe undefeated G5.

If Bama wins and Oregon wins and nothing else changes Bama would hold every metric over them in every category the committee says it uses. Yet I feel like Bama needs help to get in.

Because they kept the final score close...or kinda close the last time they played an SEC team.
