Yeah, they want everyone to forget about that FSU game, but if wins count, losses should, too. What’s the point of playing otherwise?
lol at all the Bama homers downvoting this.

Arkansas (3 point win)
It's so funny watching people call the A&M/Texas game a blowout in one breath and calling the A&M/Arkansas game a nail biter with the next.

I’m an Aggie fan who lost a bet.

This is called basic common sense.
Making the championship game should always be strictly better than not making it.
Which is why the committee didn't bump SMU last year for losing the title game.
If you turn conference championship game appearances into a negative they will instantly die.

I hear the argument that Texas shouldn't make the cfp because they lost to 4-8 Florida. Well, Alabama lost to 4-8 FSU (who just got smacked by 4-8 Florida).

The truth is, Georgia is guaranteed to be in the CFP, regardless of whether they win or lose. But, like last year... what happens if their QB (or other starters) are lost to injury because of a meaningless game? Georgia will be out in the first round... again.
Don't be surprised if other 'conference' titles aren't just as concerned.

Yes, I do believe that was a bigger shitpushedin loss than GA gave you guys. GA was nice enough to give you guys some lube.

Bama lost to a team with seven losses.

The committee itself says that CCG losses won't hurt a team. (At least that's what the committee said and seemed to follow last year, and they haven't said anything contrary this year.)
However, Alabama will seemingly miss the playoffs if they lose the SEC title game and BYU beats Texas Tech. Just due to BYU taking the last playoff spot that Alabama currently holds. I don't really understand Alabama's -3300 odds to make the playoffs on FanDuel.

Don't care. We have 2 losses. In my view, to have even an argument for NC, you get 1 derp loss.
The committee can put us wherever they want and I won't bitch at all.
If you want to say the committee sucks, then ok, fair enough but make sure you have your list and reasons why yours is different, else you're just yet another bitch complaining.

Which tbh, this board has some great posters but about 90% of it is just a bunch of bitches and trolls.

quote:It will probably work that way this year, too, but Bama still might not be safe. If Bama goes to Atlanta in the 10 slot, and loses, and BYU beats Texas Tech, then the cut line goes from 10 to 9, and Bama would have to leap Notre Dame in order to get in the field (which, I suppose is possible, but would probably give Hunter Yurachek a stroke trying to explain).quote:That’s how it worked last year. Only difference is this year it’s Bama and not SMu.
