32 seasons in the SEC. 101-167 in conference games.
That comes out to about 3-5 in conference every year.
Again, don’t think it’s crazy for Arkansas to have a coach who goes 7-5/8-4 consistently.
I think it’s crazy to expect conference championships from Arkansas and constantly winning 10 games + a year but I don’t think it means you should be doormat either.

Again Arkansas doesn't have the right people and pieces in place just to be a 7-5 program in the SEC. The issues are deeper and more complicated than what is understood.

“With the exception of Auburn, Bama doesn’t play in-state teams.”
Bama has played Samford, south alabama, Troy and jax state in basketball and baseball. With the exception of Auburn, Bama doesn’t play in-state teams but I get your point, in football.

Idk bro if Kentucky can do it I don’t see why Arkansas can’t

I thought we’d have a good season last year until that road schedule against lsu, aggie, olemiss and bama in consecutive games on the road took it out of them. They were competitive in that stretch but I guess it was too much to get over.
Give some of these others that and let’s see what happens. Enough to get a coach with less talent fired for not winning I guess. Hopefully the end of divisions will balance things out.

The Kentucky brass is more polished and organized than the Arkansas brass which is hard to get all of them on board about anything. It also helps that they have been playing in a weaker division over the years.
Also some of these issues can't be fixed on a administrative level but involves politics.

Dude, you know nothing. Arkansas is fully capable of being a 7-9 win team yearly with the occasional ten win season. All it takes is the right hire.

And many of those losses are from the past decade. Which outside of a few years, we’ve been bad. That’s not the norm for Arkansas. We’re historically better than that.

OU plays Tulsa. No excuses Arkansas, quit being scared.

Yes if this was the SEC during the 90s and 00s then those goals would be easier but not now. It would take Arkansas more than just the right hire to be average again.

Those losses are over a period of 32 years including multiple losses to Memphis and SMU.
Arkansas historically wasn't a bad program before joining the SEC but these last 30 years are the norm now.

Most large state schools play smaller state schools to help support them. On the other hand, a very few larger schools are pussies and try to kill them.

When we joined the SEC anyone with half a brain knew what we were walking into in football. These were teams we were struggling against in bowls and we’d be playing them weekly. What the hell did anyone think. Plus we were dealing with coaching problems at the time with Hatfield leaving, then crow getting fired and an interim coach then ford, damn.
But ford did somehow win the west and Nutt did it twice and, except for 2 seasons had us competitive. But our fans decided that wasn’t good enough and ran his arse off. Pretty much why Hatfield left, the fans actually thought they deserved better.
Now here we are. Congratulations to those who knew more than everyone else.

I don't know what the narrative in Arkansas was all that time... but outside the state it was that Frank Broyles kept running off all those coaches because they couldn't meet his high standards. Or in the case of Nolan Richardson... couldn't maintain them.
In football, we heard that Broyles tried to micromanage the program from the ADs office and that caused a lot of friction with his coaches.

With the exception of Auburn, Bama doesn’t play in-state teams. Who would want to watch Bama vs Troy, or Auburn - Montgomery branch, or Jacksonville St?
But Auburn is willing to play New Mexico State at home! That was a game for other SEC fans to laugh at Auburn for losing that game.

Bobby Petrino had the hogs humming. The program was self-sustaining and ranked number 5 for the year when another hog Bobby was riding, just not alone, did him in. Kind of ironic, isn't it?

Same people that decided to fire the AD and Coach at the same time?
Exactly how we won 4 games in two seasons.
You Nutt huggers are all the same
