Like they couldnt get into the barn if they wanted. I knew a guy that got a 12 on his ACT and graduated from there. Your skin in the game just means you paid to attend a cow college.

I kind of have a theory: Because the vast majority of our fanbase has an actual connection to the school. They attended, the kids/parents/friends/relatives attended. I mean, really, how many Harvey Updykes are in our fanbase?
What auburn posters here went to auburn or will even attend a game this year?

LSU took chop blocking from us with their 10+ years in a row of getting penalized for it.
Maybe we can bring it back with a w in dv

This is the correct answer.

It always amuses me how y'all think that makes you special.
Most fans of Samford went there too. It's almost as if the program isn't important enough to be cared about by people not directly tied to it. And yet y'all think that's special.

Because it’s weird to just arbitrarily pick a college team to “root” for. That’s a very Alabama thing to do. Normal people have some connection. Alumni. Employee. Hometown. Spouse. Kids. Etc
Until the 1990s, most Alabama fans thought the school was in Birmingham.

No, that's pretty much how it works everywhere. Y'all just don't comprehend it because you have zero experience with it.

You should have some sort of connection at least and it is not just Auburn btw... Texas A&M comes to mind.

Oh ok. Well I'll go inform the millions of NFL fans that they need to stop being fans unless they played or worked for the team.
Y'all really are this stupid and deluded about your special school.

Played basketball in SEC played at Auburn . This really pretty female student whispered to me , do me a favor then screamed out go fuxk yourself. That’s enough for me

That was back in 1976 when there wasn’t many blacks in SEC. That really was degrading at time, I have grown to not let that shite get to me

Was not an Auburn player , I worded that shitty.

Actually, Bama is the outlier here:
"Who’s a fan?: Auburn and UAB fans are more likely to have a direct connection to the school, such as attending the school or having a spouse or child attend. While 76.6% of Auburn fans and 87.6% of UAB fans have such a connection, only 50.6% of Alabama fans report this personal affiliation with their team."
