I love the game. Even though I am an old woman, college football season is my favorite time of the year. You might think it is a net negative but it sure beats spending hours on Facebook

I've mastered the art of enjoying the wins, but not letting the losses get me down. That having been said, I'm quickly losing interest in CFB with NIL and the portal. At least the athletic mercenaries in the NFL are under contract. It seems that none of these kids really give a shite about the team or the university, which means that I no longer care about these kids.

People that don't care about sports typically don't create accounts on forums dedicated to sports unless they're trolling or trying to procure some weird sense of superiority, importance and validation.
For instance I don't care about racing or combat sports. For this reason I don't seek out Nascar or MMA forums just to let everyone over there know that I don't care about it. I instead seek out forums about things I do enjoy to discuss them with people that also enjoy them.
Yes liking CFB is illogical. But you can make that argument for any entertainment or non-essential activity if you break it down enough. Why do people care about movies, they're just people playing pretend on camera and they don't care about you. Why do people like music, they're just sounds played and recorded in a certain sequence and musicians don't care about you. Why do people like eating at restaurants, you can buy or grow your own food that meets your nutritional requirements to live for a much cheaper cost, the cooks and servers don't care about you.
You get the point.
