Why do they keep saying Saturday will be the first 1v2 match in any sport in SEC history?

Did these dipshits completely forget LSU and Bama played for a national title in football in 2011 and were 1 and 2 in the regular season as well?

Media over hype everything. Its about hype, not always accuracy. Every game they call you'd think both teams are national contenders.

It might be 1 vs. 2 and 2 vs. 1, meaning a first with BOTH TEAMS number 1. That is really, really odd that two state it even SEC teams would be 1-2 and 2-1 at any time, and be paying each other. Most of the time #1 is the same

All I've heard is it's the first #1 vs #2 matchup of SEC teams in SEC basketball history. Makes sense because how many SEC teams other than Kentucky, Arkansas, or Florida have been ranked either #1 or #2 during the same regular season much less two different SEC teams during the same season?

I am actually surprised none of those Pitino vs Nolan Richardson UK vs Ark match-ups between around 1992-1997... especially when Ark was really rolling in 93-95... were a #1 vs #2 match-up.

Yea. In 1993 we were #11 and UK was #2 when we beat them. In 1994 we were #3 and UK was #4 when we beat them. And in 1995 we were #9 and they were #5 when they beat us.

I am pretty sure they are referring to Bama vs AU. As it has not happened in FB to my memory

I’m not sure who “they” are either, but on the Rant, “they” always have insider information or “word on the street” and “they” say or write a lot of wrong/bad/stupid things.

Wouldn't it be even more rare to say this is the first time that 2 SEC teams play each other as number one in the country?
