It is not fictional. There is a great game played every year by LSU and Bama. Get used to it because you’re going to be stuck with us. Sorry you lost last year.

I think it’s pretty well known that lsu fan’s opinion on their biggest rival depends on age. Older fans would say ole miss, auburn in the 00s, Alabama since saban got there. Between saban, game of the century, the national championship game and multiple classic games there’s plenty of ingredients for a rivalry. Not to mention this game has usually featured the most nfl talent over the last 10-15 years. Nobody is claiming this game is above the aub or tenn rivalry. But to claim that it’s “just another game” is a little disingenuous on the bama side.

I don't give a rat's arse about a rivalry with Alabama. They are just someone in the way that we have to deal with.
The only blood and guts rival LSU has is Ole Miss.
Sadly, I guess that rivalry will deteriorate if we don't play them annually in the new SEC schedules.

LOL. It’s literally 13-11 (Bama) between the two teams since 2000 despite Bama going on an epic run from 2012-2018 with Bama having the most NCs in the sport over this period and LSU having the second most. Bama keeps their open date (as does LSU) now permanently before this game.
