You can't understand why people are high on a coach that took a team that was unranked until october to the national championship game?
No wonder you guys always want to fire les. Nothing is going to impress you.
And i think this thread was in response to a thread asking why arky fans are down on malzhan. So clearly everyone isn't high on him.
Even if that reason is because they harbor some hate from highschool.

He continued success at a small program, then engineered perhaps the greatest turnaround in college football history.
I don't care whether we label him a great coach or not, but he's certainly an up and comer, a well-regarded CFB coach, a great offensive mind, whatever. There is absolutely no reason to doubt that he is a good and potentially great HC at this point.
For all the points people make about last second wins, they're ignoring A) only one of those was a fluke, the others were engineered and earned, and B) he's got a team that in other years may be 10-2 or worse on the verge of a national title, and believing they can win it.
Auburn is undermanned but playing out of their minds. That is the sign of a good coach, IMO. I can't promise he'll dominate in the future, but I like his chances going forward. Not to slight NM at all, but it isn't like he's Cam Newton. The defense has huge holes. As I've said before, it'll be really fun to see what Gus can do in an offense with a better passing attack and a stronger defense.

you base it on game action, he's had a superb year. Magical season. But Auburn has also won several games in the last few seconds. These things generally have a way of evening out over time.

Say wha? Whatever you or any other fan thinks about Auburn doesn't worry me. Can't you come up with something positive to discuss about your own team rather than starting a little bitch thread?

Don't mind Hawgeye, too much tanning has fried his brain.

Obviously the simple turn around here is, I've never seen a fanbase so consumed with another team's coach.
auburn and lsu fans are close with saban, but you guys take the cake.

I agree NYC lulz and I guess we should apologize for playing the full sixty minutes in regulation.

It's a subtle jab that is clearly too complex for your Arkansas brain to understand.

You aren't sure why people are high on a coach that took the worst SEC team in modern history to the national championship game in his first year?

Malzahn may very well end up being a good HC but he has no track record at this level yet to judge him by.
It has taken him one season to eclipse anything Miles has done in a decade.

You will get your shot at the champs again next year.

Not exactly.
Auburn is the little brother constantly trying to push his way next to his momma, crying when he doesn't get what he wants, telling on his big brother and always screaming, "Look at ME! Watch THIS, Mommy!"
A&M is the little brother who's upstairs in a dark room, running in circles touching himself with his eyes crossed as he makes odd animal sounds.
Don't open the door...
...but if you do, DON'T turn on the light.

And then there are LSU fans who have only child syndrome and can't understand why they can't always get what they want and whine and cry about it incessantly.
