Texas has had a standing invite to the SEC since Harvey Schiller was your commissioner. Every previous expansion included a historical rival. It was inevitable.

Texas universities are very pro-terrorist. They’ve even lost coeds due to honor killings and the like. I’m guessing it has something to do with the oil industry.

For the most part these aren't sports fans. Stadium is mostly filled with working, pro American, pro capitalist, conservative types.
Unwashed liberal hippy and LGBTQ are not very representted at sports events. Like most campuses there is a divide.

The SEC wanted Texas because an SEC national title in football from a Texas-based SEC member would be a financial windfall for the conference, and it would never happen with A&M.
