I know, right? In one way it show just how stupid football fans can be to think that, but on the other it was motivating for us.

Smart football people thought AU would be the best team in the SEC this year, but wouldn't make it to Atl due to the schedule. I still think that may be the most likely ending. AU is the best team in the SEC and probably country, but loses 2 against the toughest schedule in the nation.

As for the luck thing, smart football people also realize bad luck was the only reason AU didn't win it all last year.

Your last paragraph is so beautiful I won't even quote it. Would be like handling the Mona Lisa.

Anyone who watched all four quarters of those games with a critical, unbiased eye (as opposed to catching a few highlights on ESPN), knows that Auburn wasn't lucky but rather their opponents were lucky to be in a position to win in the first place. No doubt we caught some spectacular breaks in the closing moments but a game is 60 minutes long.

We outplayed everyone for most of the year. A terrible quarter against LSU and FSU did us in and nearly cost us the UGA game. Show me a great SEC team that doesn't have a few letdown quarters.

Numerous coaches and media obviously think we are he best team since we are he highest rated SEC team in both the coaches poll and media poll. Who cares what a mutt thinks? Your team and your opinion are both irrelevant anyway

I love that Auburn was gong to get exposed by LSU and we have not played anyone up until them. We destroy LSU and now all of the sudden they are the worst LSU team in history. You motherfrickers are so mad.

Ole Miss and State are more impressive

State beat A&M like a drum; A&M stole one from Bert; AU beat Bert by 24 pts - wash

State beat LSU like a drum, almost blew it on the road; AU beat LSU like a drum and never looked back at home - wash (I'm being generous)

AU beat a top 20 team on the road on Thursday night...State beat USA, USM, UAB??? - AU

Ole Miss isn't even in the discussion. They were playing Memphis 10-3 in the 4th. Were outgained etc by Bama and got two late turnovers to make/seal the victory. Nothing wrong with that; good for them, but if the discussion is "most impressive", I think it can be considered.

Because they weren't week 1 but by the time ATL rolled around they were. Who cares what a bunch of biased fans from the same conference "say/think" when AU proved it by winning on the field where it actually counts.

Because the whole world is against Auburn. They're always trying to keep Auburn down. It's really sad.

OR

It could have something to do with the outside world realizing that if: UGA had trained their DBs to swat the ball instead of going for the interception AND/OR Saban had recruited a kicker and thought about the possibility of covering a return on a missed field goal, Auburn would have been a great Citrus Bowl team.

Either way, who cares? It's working out for you alright. Enjoy it.

Who cares? Even when the mutts get rid of one thug, you just replace him with another thug in short order. After all, you have had close to 40 players get in some kind of trouble just over the last 4 or 5 years. That is basically half your team
