Dump Gatorade on Coach O for a meaningless game?

I mean really when you think about it, they should be even more embarrassed for that, than for doing it and losing.

That’s actually a fair point. In the end, if things were called correctly, we’d have only beaten Texas A&M, which is what we do every year.

Because Houston is a major city close to LSU and aTm is without a doubt a rival, which means it is not a meaningless game. I don't care what the LSU posters on here say(they are just trolling Aggie anyway), now that they play Aggie every year, they are their rival now due to geography and many LSU alumni working in Houston and Aggies working in Louisiana and having to interact in every day life so much. So it isn't a meaningless game, it is a rivalry game between two outstanding Universities close to each other geographically. Though it is not as established it is similar to AU/UGA and Bama/UT, being natural geographic rivals.

The Gatorade bath is symbolic of LSU winning its super bowl, but in the end despite the refs helping LSU they still couldn’t beat Jimbo

I personally think the gatorade bath has long been played out, but I can understand why 18 to 23 year olds would still find it amusing.

I can understand it if you just won the SEC or a National Championship.
Maybe even if you beat a rival you have lost to 4 or more years in a row.

I don't get why you would dump it on your coach for just any old regular game.

While I agree with your post regarding A&M as a natural rival for LSU, I think the gatorade had more to do with the players thinking Orgeron had just won 10 regular season games, and not so much to do with the opponent.

Maybe last reg game of the season, which at the time looked like a 10 win season for a coach they love that many thought was on the hot seat at the beginning of the year, might of had something to do with it

I get this is a troll post, but I still feel it needed to be said

Does anyone in this thread actually want to discuss why they dumbed Gatorade on Orgeron or does everyone just want to troll.

The reason they dumped the Gatorade on Orgeron is because this game meant something to O. Many LSU fans to this day do not want O to be the coach, and many of those same fans want fisher to be the coach. O knows it and the players know it. Orgeron will never say that in the media, but he wanted to win that game yes to get 10 wins but also to beat Fisher.

Weren’t you posting on the tiger rant during that game like you were an LSU fan but you troll them 24/7 on here?

That would be sad indictment of LSU's program if they thought they needed to dump gatorade on their coach for winning 10 games.

Has LSU become Vanderbilt?

Not trolling at all

Just asking questions that need to be asked

Yes that's embarrassing after losing the game.

But it had nothing to do with the opponents. Beating aTm is not a feat worthy of jumping gatorade on a coach. It had to do with what that win would have meant, a 10 win regular season.
