I get it. Kelly is a big name from a big program.

Aranda just seems to have so much more upside.

I don't know, but I won't complain. Kelly will be much less of a threat than Aranda.

Also, aranda makes $2.5 million a year, on a $10 million contract at Baylor.

He'll be at a major program very soon.

I’m just glad Aranda is stuck in the Big 12.

Roughly the same reason A&M hired Fisher. He was viewed by the AD as a qualified candidate.

I would have loved him instead of Orgeron FWIW

Maybe he turned them down. There is no other logical explanation.

LSU will be coach shopping in two seasons. They will want Beamer but won’t be able to land him.

Seriously bookmark this. It’s gonna happen.

Arkansas is knocking for one when Pittman retires.

I feel like Aranda would be like Kirby Smart at UGA. Every year LSU would field an elite defense. Their offense would do just enough to get them to 9-10 wins a year, but every single year, they will get blown out by Alabama.

Kelly may end up the same way. I don't know.

Because Aranda lives in Waco now and doesn’t want to go back to that dump after that.

Interesting! So was Aranda the 2nd, 3rd or 4th candidate to turn them down before LSU overpaid for their new Yankee coach?

Looked like the team was very motivated by his hire against UCF
