Thread about Auburn, here comes Jamie fricking Lannister
lol nah it isn't like that.
there has a been a rumour of both Auburn and Alabama going after Dabo in the next few years.
If a fan base is missing Tuberville, Dabo is looking real good.

When has Georgia historically been more successful than Auburn?
Georgia has 12 SEC titles to Auburn's 8
Until 2010, Georgia and Auburn both had a single national title, and theirs did not come during a bowl ban year.
UGA has the better winning percentage, more wins, will likely own the head-to-head this year, been to more bowls, won more bowls, 23 top ten finishes to AU's 19, 21 10+ win seasons to AU's 13.
UGA has more historical success by pretty much all but 2 or 3 metrics, and only 1 metric (AP titles) does AU take a very slim lead.

Let Dabo win without Chad Morris first. He was on the hotseat before Morris was hired, and will likely be on the hotseat again with Morris gone.

I don't know that many people are missing Tuberville. Auburn fans miss Tuberville like Clemson fans miss Bowden

Morris's arrival coincides with Boyd, Nuk Hopkins, Sammy Watkins, etc. few OC's going to struggle with those weapons.
COle Stoudt looked like completely different qb in our bowl win last year, after Morris left program.
morris most overrated OC ever. his playcalling in those SC losses was horrible.

I enjoyed the Tommmy years myself and brought back excitement to Clemson. he beat FSU a lot
the ACC was a lot tougher during the Tommy years than right now. he kind of got a raw deal.

ETA: Gave y'all a little too much credit. You weren't really any better than us in the '30s.

surprised Gus isn't on the hot seat. didn't think Auburn people would tolerate this.

JJ did the same with Chiz. And had to eat a big buyout.
Will be the same with Guss Buss.

So you got that from the Bama Boards (Some Circles).... His buyout after this season is 9 million...($14 is Berts buyout)
Malzahn’s buyout is $2,237,500 for each year remaining on his six-year deal. Let’s break it down by year on how much the school would owe him if it fires him after the following seasons:
2014: $11,187,500.
2015: $8,950,000.
2016: $6,712,500.
2017: $4,475,000.
2018: $2,237,500.

So you will pay Guss Buss close to 9 very large to leave .

Well we did just sign a new Under Armour contract that pays that much annually.. Coincidence??
closer to 6.7, we have one more year to see if he can turn this around... we also would have buyouts for his assistants this year.. nobody gets a raise, etc....

I make fun of AU on TD but lm realy hoping you turn this around.

He coached at Auburn 10 seasons, during most of which Alabama was hamstringed by probation and bad coaching hires.
They won 1 SEC title over that time and were overall a consistently very good, but not great team.
LSU ascended to the top of the West while Alabama was down, not Auburn.
It's clear Tubbs is not a championship caliber coach. He's a 9-3 type coach, which is about what he averaged at Auburn.
