Why can't the SEC manage to get over the PAC-10 hump?

Less than a .500 record over the past decade? Thoughts on why (other than irrational ratioanlizations). LSU has done its share as has USC for the PAC-10 (although one has had an easier go at it). Remove those two and the SEC is even lower.

LSU hasn't lost to the Pac 10 in my lifetime FWIW.

More like Fulmer, Kiffen and Nutt. I hope the Hogs get to play a Pac 10 team in the very near future and we will reverse that trend. You can also chalk up several of the Big 10 SEC losses to Nutt's ineptness as well including losses to those Big 10 National Powers Minnesota and Wisconsin.

In answering the question, Why can't the SEC manage to get over the PAC-10 hump?, not worth much

Answering the question, I'm 28 years old. LSU has never lost to a PAC 1 team in my lifetime.

I actually just came across a very surprising stat that might suprise you.
Basically, since 1988 the SEC has had 754 players drafted while the pac10 and big10 has had 649. Now what you don't realize is that the SEC team also has 2 more teams than those conferences. So, to make the logical argument that the SEC was actually better, the math would work out to each of those putting only 621 or fewer in.
But with 649 out of 10 teams compared to 754 over the same period to 12 teams work out that the Big10, and Pac10 are both better football conference than the SEC since 1988.

The SEC should just give up now and never schedule another PAC-1 school. We are so tired of getting our asses beat by ya'll. I hope we don't play ya'll in any bowl games.

Because when we get caught buying players homes and things like what USC does regularly, we get put on probation. USC doesn't follow the same rules as the rest of the nation when it comes to player benefits.

To be fair the Big 10 DOES have the worst name of all sports conferences... They act like they are the smartest conference and like to brag about their USN&WE ratings when they obviously think 11=10.
Maybe they learned that an 11 is really just a big 10...
