With is record of success at Tennessee I would have thought someone would have hired him by now. Is the problem he won't take anything less than a top tier BCS school? Or is there something else about him that keeps him from being hired by another school? He's a young 61.

I think he's waiting for a top tier school.

Coach Fulmer has a precise and exacting formula for selecting a new job. The criteria include, football facilities, recruiting base, and # of Krispy Kreme doughnut shops within a 2 mile radius of his home and office. That seriously narrows down the list of potential suitors.

Unless there's a top tier school trying to run their program off a cliff, he'll be waiting a while.

He had a job at a top tier BCS school, and he ran it into the ground. He'll be waiting a long wait if he thinks another top tier program will allow him to take their program into the gutter.

It's funny how little kids like you get on here and spew that garbage and literally do not have a clue what you are talking about. He had some great years at Tenn, and a HELL of a lot better than anything you have seen in the past several years. He struggled at the end, but he won a lot of games for that school...not to mention conference and national championships. You guys are a laughing stock of a program now, and it ain't all his fault. Kiffin did more to destroy that program in one year than fulmer did his entire time.

He would fit in perfectly at a C-USA or Sunbelt school. I doubt any BCS school will touch him with his recent history and age.

Could be some truth to that. Folks know that he was pissed about being outbid for Means, and he turned stool pigeon even after the Tee Martin/Mobile booster thing. shite catches up with you after awhile..

Roy Kramer sucks cawks also.

I tend to agree with this. He could have put a few solid recruiting classes together and had them back on top. Yeah UF overshadowed UTs success, but that doesn't mean UT didn't whip the rest of the conference's arse consistently.

lol. It isn't all his fault. Most of it was Hamilton for letting him wreck the car, and THEN drive it off the cliff. Nobody is mad at Fulmer for pre-2001. And while the Kiffin bolt sucked and was a part of it, Fulmer was the captain of the sinking ship.

But yet they love the very coach that fricked them over and put them behind the 8ball they're currently at today.

Last I heard he's moved on to a competitive eating career.
