We heard this with Freeze too. Look who’s succeeding and who is failing. Checkmate. We’ve entered a new era and, in it, Ole Miss far succeeds Florida

Sure. You forgot Vince though. And the fact that we have the second most conference championships. But OK. Thanks for chiming in

Florida has made terrible hires. Mullen could have been fine if he had any desire to recruit and/or surrounded himself with decent staff. Instead he held on to an overrated 3rd and Grantham and an OL coach that does home inspections for Lowe's now.

I've seen Florida actually be the most dominate team in the sport for a multi year run, and I haven't seen those other teams win literally anything. Its just easier to think Florida can get back to where they were before.

LSU and Florida are stuck in the ripple effects of trying to be a title contender in the 2 team and 4 team playoff format. A couple bad years, fire your coach and start over. Dump money, all new players, all new schemes, and all new coordinators. Plus it was just hard to be second fiddle behind Alabama and Georgia the last 10 years. LSU would have a good team, but drop a game and lose to bama, then bam, you don't even win your division and are playing in the citrus bowl. Meanwhile Penn State at 10-2 will go to the rose bowl. Now with a 12 team playoff, the middle of the pack guys are more stable and can get to a 10-2 record more easily. They have more stable identities and coaching staffs. And on top of all that, it's a crapshoot if your new coach will be good or bad. We can look at Texas a&m, They have similar resources and coaching turnover, Elko turned out to be a good hire for them, Kelly turned out to be a bad hire for us.

With the current people we have running things, we couldn't compete in any era.

Are you serious trying to act like it wasn’t really hot in Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana, and Texas? The reason Florida sucked prior to the 90s had nothing to do with air conditioning.
