I like and watch both, I was just responding to the question that the op asked. Btw I think AJ has a great chance to start, most likely will be a project for a couple of years though

Drafted first two rounds. I'd say he's got a ceiling of Eli Manning and a floor of Jason Campbell.

All about going to the right team with him. He can do decent without good pieces, but you'll get the most out of him if you've got a good WR and a solid RB. Minnesota or Cleveland would be great landing spots for him, off of the top of my head.

I agree you should have run the ball. But when your fans say it and get all mad about calling for the pass, you are admitting McCarron is a role player and you don't trust him with the ball in his hands when it matters.

You are a really bad troll.

Bama has had more starting NFL QB's than most teams.

But I don't give two fricks. I don't watch the NFL.

The real question is how many former Ole Miss kickers have gone on to own their own Camper/RV business? I'm betting none. Ole Miss is a joke.

Beautiful drive. Those three first down passes to Norwood were perfect and would work fine in the NFL.

McCarron isn't going to be an all-pro NFL QB, but I think he is at least as good as a few guys who have started in the NFL the last couple of years like: Locker, Henne, Kolb, Flynn, Ponder, Weeden, Sanchez. He is at least at this level I think.

Bart Starr was pretty good. Namath and Todd were good also.

Alabama had plenty of NFL caliber QBs through the 1960s, then switched to the wishbone in 1971. We pretty much were a run-first offense until 2007. The Nick Saban era has been the first instance of actual solid QB play, from a passing perspective.

FWIW: I have not seen Richard Todd's name mentioned in this thead. Had a good 10-year career with the Jets and Saints.

Since then, we have had QB's drafted into the league on a regular basis but mostly all have been 3rd string clipboard holders or wound up on the practice squads.....

It's ironic you say something about penis in someone's throat while replying to an A&M fan.

Apparently what AJ does is working....He's had more success than your programs entire history....lool

In all fairness we've never had competitive player salaries. We bought Eric Dickerson a gold trans am and he was still gettin a better deal at SMU.

Aj is successful for bama no doubt. I doubt he ever plays a snap in the nfl. I would take Bo Wallace any day of the week though. Bo would put up better numbers than AJ at bama I think, as would probably 6 or 7 other sec qbs

I am in the thread 7 pages in, that's leaving?

I think bama qbs are overrated. NFL teams agree with me
