No, sorry. You are wrong here.

I check in here every day and read but I rarely post because few threads are worth hitting reply to.
It's mostly just trolling and trash talking.

wtf is that first site? Georgia Southern is harder to get in than UGA?
And maybe I was wrong. UF's site says the average GPA for incoming freshman was 4.3 even though I don't see how that's possible.
UGAs was a meager 3.83
Although I knew a total dumbass with bad grades that got in UF from my high school. Rumors were he had some connections so maybe that's true.

The site simply ranks the schools based on percentage accepted. It is quite possible that more dumbasses apply to Georgia Southern and get rejected than apply at UGA.

This is true at any school. If your a total dumbass, but know the right people and have a bunch of stupid activities on your application, then you get in.
EDIT: you're*
WTF is with my spelling lately

I don't know the exact stats and there's always certain exceptions but I know a lot of people who couldn't get into UF but were able to get into other high ranking schools across the country. It's ridiculous how many people with great grades that get denied each year. I know because I meet them. I couldn't stand a chance getting into UF today.
My point wasn't to put down other schools but to point out that I've seen a steady decline in the quality of hot (usually loud, sometimes obnoxious) woman and many of the men aren't even into sports. You know there's a problem when the alumni section is louder than the students.

Florida used to have more fans and many of them left

Good question and good thread Hugo. I don't personally think that UF fans take their football as seriously as us Bama, LSU, and AU fans do. I guess they have bigger fish to fry?...

Oh trust me, I know what you mean.
The hot women are still here, just many of them are in sororities.

Florida fans are waiting to see who the best team in the state is this year, then they'll be fans of whoever that is.

I have visited many of the other SEC sites, none of them seem to be as active as Gator boards, I would guess that is a big reason why. I come here to get away from them every now and then

UF is probably tougher to get into then Vandy these days. The admission standards are so high these days that people with 4.0's are getting rejected.
Are you joking? Vandy's acceptance rate is one of the lowest in the country at 16%. More people apply to Vanderbilt than Florida, and Florida's acceptance rate is around 45%.

^^ Vandy and UF both receive about the same amount of applicants each year. The big difference is that Vandy has a lot less available slots for incoming freshman meaning they turn away more people. UF is a state school so of course it takes on more people.
But just because Vandy turns away more people doesn't mean it's harder to get in. I do know someone that got denied at UF but got in at Vandy. Of course there's anomaly's. UF's incoming freshman average higher GPA's (4.0 avg) than Vandy freshman (3.75) but Vandy's freshman have a lot higher SAT scores. Do we have a sample size of the people applying to both schools? If it was all the same people then you could make that claim but we don't know the composition of the applicants. Based on GPA, UF is harder, based on standardized test, Vandy is. I'm just throwing shite out there for healthy debate but overall, I'll give you that Vandy is a tougher school and harder to get in. It has been the educational standard of the SEC.
But, I think both schools prove my point, that all these nerds have lessen the fervor/excitement of the sports landscape.

It's the off-season. The rant is a barren wasteland devoid of all rational thought. I'll post more when the season starts.
Wait... That's how the rant always is.
