This is simple. Giving up 63 points is huge. Giving up 63 when you are a 22 point favorite is really huge. Doing that in November, with a cakewalk path to the playoffs is brutally huge.
You lose that game in September and you have 8-9 games to recover. November losses are a bitch. Trust me. I know.

Everybody knows the refs gave you the Bama game. That oberturned interception would have ended the game. But there were many awful calls for UT that day. But you can't give up 63 to a very average South Carolina team and get any respect. Even Clemson held them to 30.

Would Bama EVER get annihilated by USCe? Not even close.
HH had one decent season in which he played for a passing team with little run capability. He got lucky and is in no way deserving of the Heisman.

They refuse to accept that 2022's early success with Hooker was lightning in a bottle, not an upward trend. Is there another VA Tech retread in the portal who can help in the future? Possibly, but the odds aren't in their favor.

1) Neither one of you was ever going to get into the playoff with two lossses. Does it really matter?
2) Look through the last few seasons of Heisman finalists. Playing on the last weekend and having less than two losses are pretty important. Not saying it's right, but you should have been expecting this instead of being shocked like hell.
