The loss to South Carolina ended hopes for playoffs
Hooker was good, the Heisman award is too political now and being in the national title run means more than years ago.
Helping or leading your team into the playoffs gets the media attention.
As it stands if Tennessee finishes 11-1 they pass Ohio ST. as the number 4 team and without Hooker getting injured he is in the Heisman race, they have a legitimate run at the title game.

Yep, vols couldnt afford a loss to UGA and SC. They had to pick one, but werent good enough

The Vols were supposed to go 8-4 this year. We are fine. The team wasn’t ready for a playoff run with that secondary.

Letting others set your expectations to low. That sounds about right for you, being the biggest commie on this board.
As the #1 team, yall had a legit chance to win it all, but then UGA beat the shite out of vols, and then SC also beat the shite out of vols.
