Why are Hawg fans trying to compare Petrino's recruiting classes to Bielema?

We already knew Petrino was a bad arse before he ever arrived at Arkansas. Petrino could turn a turd into a diamond. Plus his offense didn't need top recruits to succeed. Petrino was the best playcaller in the league.
Now I see hogs talking about Bielema having a better recruiting class than Petrino...now all is well in the Ozarks. Bielema might have slightly better numbers than Petrino based on star talent, but that power run game will get demolished since the talent is average.
You guys keep drinking the kool-aid though. It kind of reminds me of us Auburn fans last off-season.

I once started a thread that Petrino was the best coach in the SEC and I still BELIEVE he was.

but to answer your question Bielema had 2 months to recruit (after a year of a lame duck coach and staff that didn't recruit worth a shite) and ended up with a pretty decent class considering the circumstances.

I will be doing a Crownalysis on who is the better game day coach soon. Unfortunately, there are so many post about how Bobby P was the greatest ever it will be hard to see how Bret Buluima will ever match up.

this is very true, but he historically hasn't recruited well.
