I'm headed to the LSU vs SC game this year. I have never been and would appreciate any suggestions from you Gamecock fans or anyone who has been to Columbia, SC.

#1 looking for local spots to eat. Also any breweries or chill bars for a good local beer. Thank you in advance!

I brought mine to their first game last year. We went to the Texas A&M game and had a great time but did not last past halftime. So my suggestions are below:

1. Get tickets in Skyline Club - Free Food for the entire game. Easy to go grab cookies and chips without having to spend $300 on food.

2. Pick a game that is as early as possible. They will be tired regardless so they won't last an entire day of tailgating and then a game at 6pm.

3. Expect to leave early. We did this and so when they had enough it wasnt a big deal to leave even though it was much earlier than I ever would when I go without them.

4. Go into the game late This was our biggest mistake. We went into the game an hour early and the kids were good until the middle of 2nd quarter when they started getting restless. If we had waited even just to go to our seats right before kick off they would have lasted longer.

5. They won't remember it but you will: Just remember that they aren't going to remember much of this experience. It's more about you sharing your passion with them and for your memories. If you go into it with that mentality as opposed to your normal fandom experience then you will have a great time no matter what.
LSU about to have an ad at every 5-yard line instead of numbers. Drives me nuts the amount of advertising at that place but I guess something has to keep the lights on
IM not really sure why having a "True" lone rival matters. We have plenty of teams that dont like us and we dont like them.

I would have liked to see Arkansas simply because I enjoyed the matchup for "The Boot" on that weekend but OU is a good replacement if it wasn't going to be Arky. The match-up should be much more enjoyable to watch than most.
Also forgot to add that with my ticket I was given a wristband that got me free hotdogs, popcorn and a drink. I was amazed and thought that LSU would crap themselves if they thought they had to give out any free concessions to fans.

re: My trip to Missouri for the game

I also made the trip and enjoyed every part of it. Mizzou is an underrated college town and experience. I'm sure this has a lot to do with them being stuck between the South and Midwest. IDK if they have a true identity but it was a great visit either way. Overall great place to visit and would highly recommend it to anyone who is thinking of making the trip.

The biggest highlight was the people, their fans were really awesome and very hospitable. This is also with their team actually being good and having the confidence to win the game. I think this is an important fact because if a team thinks they are going to lose either way I think fans are generally nice.

For Example:
- When asking where the best place to park a Mizzou fan gave me an extra parking pass they had without any hesitation.

- I had a fan walk up and just want to give me suggestions on places to go eat and bars to go to and told me where they would be on Gameday. Sure enough on Gameday I walked past their tailgate not necessarily looking for them and out of the blue they yelled my name and found me. They made sure we had beers and food before entering the stadium.

-After the game we went to Shakespeare's Pizza (Which was delicious) and it was hard finding a table. A Mizzou fan went out of his way to make room for us to sit with him while we waited for our pizza. I ended up staying and finishing my meal with him.

I think no matter the beauty or prestige of a place what makes an experience great are the people and the Mizzou fanbase really showed out in that department. Proud to have them a part of the SEC family!

Im no Beethoven but Im assuming Tennessee was chosen for how well it rhymes with SEC.

for this terrible redneck hick sounding music....can we call it music?

You are correct this is a terrible song and not sure we can call it music

Imagine those backwoods redneck swamp freaks dancing and partying to this garbage haha.

I can't imagine anyone has heard of this song outside of you searching LSU threads with great envy on what a Championship program looks like.

Lastly, just FYI, you can never trust an LSU fan that voluntarily wears the "Toonsis" Tiger head logo.

Falcon Trailers

Looking to buy my first trailer. Do not need it for heavy duty things just for light work and lawn mower transportation. Does have any positive or negative opinions about Falcon Trailers? Or have you heard of NOLA Trailers?

If not positive for either do you suggest any other brands?

Thank you in advance!

1. FSU at their lowest? I would say LSU is much lower spot from recent years than FSU is right now. The Criminoles are in much better position this year than from Jimbos departure and Willie Taggart Era. That was their lowest point.

2. Now they aren't going to win the ACC but Mike Norvell's in game decisions were much worse than BK's. Of course those are masked because they won so good for him for avoiding the loss. Game should have been over much sooner than it was but we stayed in it partially thanks to Norvell's dumb HC decisions.

It listed 2. Both for $100 both on eventbrite. One was in a parking lot by the dome and 1 was top floor of Lucy's. When I looked at both Lucy's was open bar, food, and live music. The parking lot was beer and wine, food by Moe's BBQ, a DJ and tailgate games

Thanks for providing info. This was the only information I found out about pregame tailgates as well. I was hoping they would do something in Champions Square. Worst case may walk down to Fulton St area if nothing going on around dome. Thanks!

Louisiana Kickoff Pre-Game

Does Anyone know if Champions Square will be having a tailgate before the FSU game?

Trying to find something close to the Dome so I don't have to stray to far out into the NOLA War Zone.
Do yall have any suggestions for Pre-Game activities?

Not looking to get hammered but wouldn't mind grabbing a beer pregame or doing something for a couple hours if we go in early to avoid more crowded trains pregame.

Take the Light Rail D Line up from Littleton (Aspen Grove and Littleton Downtown both have free parking). At Broadway station transfer over to the E Line, it stops at Empower.

Is this easier than trying to find parking? Also, do you find the rail line safe to use after dark or after a football game? I will have my family with me. Thanks for the advice!

Denver - Empower Field at Mile High

Posted by MountainMan11 on 8/16/22 at 10:14 am
Has anyone ever visited Empower Field at Mile High? I will be visiting Denver in October when the Broncos play the Jets.

I would like to go to game but I'm having a hard time trying to figure out where to park or best methods for getting to the field.

Anyone been before and know the best practices for parking and/or getting to and from the stadium? Ill be coming from south Denver near Littleton. Thank you in advance!
This was a greatly executed post. Its amazing how many of these Gen-Zs dont follow the link to see what you are talking about. Nicely Done!

Let’s be honest, he wasn’t leaving the winningest team this decade.

You know its bad when you have to tout your program as regular season champs.
If you wait more tickets will become available but also I dont see us having the dumpster fire season as we did last where we couldnt give tickets away. So I dont think you will lose much money even if you over pay slightly. Last year was the outlier IMO.
Clemson or Utah, really any Campus games. I wish we would stop playing neutral site games but too much money to be made for us to do that.
I dont think it will ever be the same with TV and streaming the way it is. Too many positives to staying at home unless it is a "Game of the Century type" People use to show up for evey game becasue they only had 1-2 games on TV per year but now every game is on TV for any sport.

They will all come back once LSU makes a come back. With 4KTV making it easier to watch from your living room and streaming practically every game, most people don't find it worth the time to actually go to the games. Once you put a better product on the field then those fans will return to watch in person. :geauxtigers:
