So you're saying UF has been scared of Athens for a REALLY long time.
Except we agreed to play them there in the 90's and destroyed them.
UF was one of the schools pushing for them to join before, not sure where you get UF is afraid to let them in.

I can see it now...sec expands, fsu comes in, lsu plays fsu in cross divisional game, they lose a couple adn then we get at least 4 off season threads about breaking up cross divisional games because it's not fair for lsu.
tangental issue of those threads, move the sec out of birmingham because they're cheating lsu.

If Florida could schedule 8 straight conference home games, they would...
and then have 3 byes in a row before they play FSU
and then have 3 byes in a row before they play FSU

Uh, you do realize that game has always been played in JAX, right?

Oh, and we dropped Fity two on UGA once in Athens
Non-sequitur.
UF is .312 in Athens and .400 in Gainsville vs UGA. Keep telling yourself you're not scared to move the game from JAX.

...No, but TEN games played in the state of Florida in 2010. That HAS to be some kind of record. Why y'all so scared to leave Florida?

I'd rather ask LSU fans why they bitch about playing UF as their cross division game
There's another thread for that.
This is the "Why are UF fans scared to let FSU into the SEC?" thread.
Try to pay closer attention.

Because everytime I bring it up, UF fans throw a temper tantrum.
I assume the temper tantrums are in response to my question, but then maybe UF fans are just always throwing temper tantrums.

It is an old and ridiculous argument. Throw around the number of games played in the state of Florida, as if playing in Tallahassee or a neutral site in Jacksonville, is some added advantage for UF.
There is a very simple answer of why so many games are played in state. Our major OOC rivals are in Florida. 80 years ago officials from UGA and UF decided to play in Florida. Many SEC affiliated bowls are in Florida. There will be years a lot of games are played in state. Not quite sure what you want us to do about it or why you care so much.
Next year, LSU plays TCU in TX, UAB, Kent State and Furman OOC. UF plays FSU, Miami, Toledo and Ga. Southern. Is UF's schedule somehow easier because the FSU and Miami games will be played in state?

There is no way FSU will ever be invited to the conference, so why even ask this question? If the SEC expands again, it will surely be in new territory bringing in a new source of TV revenue. My vote is for North Carolina and VT if we can pull it off. If not, leave the conference at 14.

On the same note, there is no way North Carolina will EVER be in the SEC....the ACC schools take pride in their academics. If NC goes anywhere, it will be the Big 10

Same as LSU fans would if Tulane was offered and turned it down.

this is a funny topic, cause UF has always supported fsu getting into the Sec even all the way back to the 50's, you want fsu in the Sec...come to birmingham and talk to the ppl in the head office.

This one's about how the gators are scared to leave their state.

UF isn't the only school in the SEC who's against it FYI.
