One is a true freshman who has never played. The other guy Jones had Jerry Judy, Henry Ruggs, Jaylen Waddle & Devonta Smith and still threw 2 pick 6s to lose the iron bowl for them.

Alabama has to play

USC
GEORIGA
@TENNESSEE
@LSU
@OLE MISS (people will laugh but I think this will be a tough game for bama)
TEXAS A&M
AUBURN

Not exactly an easy schedule with a question mark at QB

9-3 with losses to LSU again, Auburn again and Georgia. The run is officially over. RIP

Because Jones has a good line, Najee, and Waddle/Smith to throw to. He’s going to be fine and Young is talented enough to give Saban confidence in the competition and as a backup should Jones get hurt

Because we are loaded at skill positions, and our oline will be tops in the country, and either of those guys are good enough to distribute the ball effectively in our offense.

Pretty simple, Brad.

Bryce Young is the best QB in the SEC. Period. I hope Nicky sticks with Mac.

Why wouldn't they be?

Most fans are somewhat optimistic about their teams/players.

Jones had a better QBR than Trevor Lawrence the last 4 games of the year and 2nd highest in the country.

Young is the highest rated QB ever recruited in Alabama history and the highest rated recruit that has ever signed with Bama.

Both will have the SEC's best oline. Returns 60% of its receiving production off the 3rd ranked passing offense, the 4th leading rusher (Najee Harris) in the SEC who is also Alabama's highest rated RB ever and the #1 RB in the nation from the 2019 recruiting class who will see the field the first time (Trey Sanders).

Alabama QB’s have never really been a problem. They do A great job coaching to their strengths. Even with mediocre QB’s (which these two are not imo) they can be great. Not to mention having two promising QB’s usually Bama doesn’t frick it up like Georgia.

None of this mean shite.

He was only a few points ahead of Brodie Croyle.

Alabama would go 11-1 minimum with Mond behind our oline and throwing to our receivers.

This isn't 2003. These top QB recruits are primed and ready to go. Young is going to be great QB for us. Might not be this season, but his time will come.

Was recruited by FSU and LSU. Had injuries but left Alabama with the single season passing record with a depleted roster.

Tua/Mac couldnt go 11-1 behind that line and throwing to those receivers + Jeudy and Ruggs.

This. Only tough game marc jones played was vs auburn. Granted the pick sixes weren't the worst throws ever they were painful. Some guys just arent lucky. We will see if he gets put in a tough spot this year before we cannot him. Same with brennan for that matter.

We don't play Joe Burrow this year, we're good.

We made the playoffs with Blake Sims at QB. We don't need an All-American under center. But we might have one, just the same.

You wouldnt have thought playing Burrow was a big deal pre 2019, who knows what you run into in 2020.
