LSU fans feel that because our team made this sacrifice in the past, others should follow suit.

Maybe Florida should be kicking and screaming, but Sankey has an obligation as the commissioner of the SEC to maintain the football schedule running as smoothly as possible. Cancelling a game that could have been played with some sort of a contingency plan is unprecedented.

Gainesville is getting strong 27 mph breezes, real scary !!!

Florida pussed out because of their injuries period.

If they had faith in their team they would have moved the game.

Wow. The courage Foley and McElwain have shown is so inspiring. Amazing.

I don't understand how LSU thinks it's logical for Florida to give up a crucial home game. It truly baffles me.

That's because you're too stupid to realize one of the teams would have to give up a home game either way.

Um...because this is what has been done in prior, nearly identical, circumstances.

But hey keep on being a dumbass

Why would LSU play Florida at home on 11/19? I could understand playing them in BR tomorrow, but not in November. That makes absolutely no sense.

Florida avoided this game due to injuries.

LSU has 4 offensive starters out but were still ready to play.

C'mon, man. I don't think it was more about what the weather in Gainesville would be today but more about what resources might be needed further east. That is what we were saying at the beginning of the week.

Still the truth.

UF saw an opportunity to take an easier road to the SECCG

-get there by default due to cancellation
-play the game later in the year when you're hopefully back at full strength in front a better crowd than what you would have had this weekend if it were moved to another day or neutral site.

UF fans can live in denial over this all they want, but you used a natural disaster to game the system. Your coach and ADs are pieces of shite.

Since Alleva called this a flat out lie and garbage journalism, I'd say you're the coward for making a thread about it.

It's in Forfeit's DNA to be scared of competition.

1. The fact that you scheduled a school named Presbyterian to play a football game in the first place.

2. The fact Forfeit hasn't played an out of conference game outside the state of Florida in 25 years + using FSU as an excuse when FSU is able to schedule decent out-of-conference opponents. LINK

Just based on your annual out-of-conference scheduling, it's always been Forfeit's culture to duck real competition.

This was expected and predicted early in the week. Forfeit lived up to its expectations.

If Florida is willing to pay the buyout for canceling the game with South Alabama and cover all LSU expenses to Florida for the makeup game then LSU maybe interested. LSU has reasoned with Florida all week to accommodate them by playing the game in Louisiana at LSU expense and now we get this crap from you. Its a little too late to save face on this one.

Class 7A, District 4 front runner Ocoee (3-2, 3-0) will now play two contending league opponents in a span of four days next week. The Knights were forced to move their road trip to Ocala West Port (2-2, 2-1) to Monday at 7 p.m. Three nights later, on Thursday Oct. 14, they will host Lake Howell (4-1, 1-1) at 7:30 as originally scheduled.

A reasonable explanation based on what we know now.
