It’s Alabama until proven otherwise

I will give credit where it's due. Auburn looked damn good Saturday.
The thing is, before Saturday, most people (myself included) were also saying Georgia looked damn good.
Alabama is Alabama. They don't frick up and let you win. They are beatable this year but that's just it, you have to beat them. They aren't going to play a "bad game".
Miami looks good but really, who have they played and they had to come back to win several of their games.
Wisconsin is pretty much in the same boat as Miami with who have they played.

Duh. It is now a panel of human voters that decide who is in now and not computers bro.
Amazing how close their rankings are to the the AP though. Pretty much identical. They won't skew far from the polls.

Georgia got whipped to death by Auburn. It wasn't even close. I think Georgia should be removed from the conversation after that thrashing.
Alabama was tied late in the 4th against Miss. State - a decent team, but not phenomenal. I get they were down at LB, and some of those guys might return by playoff time.
Wisconsin is a solid team top to bottom, but a soft schedule and questionable passing attack.
I think the most balanced teams are probably Auburn, Miami, and Oklahoma. Don't forget, once (or if) OU gets done with Big 12 play and enters the playoffs, their defense stacks up much better against more traditional offenses. They have proven this against 3 SEC teams in recent years, plus Ohio State this year.
Having said that, I don't know if OU can whip WVU and beat TCU again for the Big 12.

In one of our "up" years, this Bama squad has at least 2 losses IMO.
So, what your saying is if everybody except Bama was better, then somebody could beat Bama?
The Hell you say

Yes we did and no, it wasn't.

And I think Oklahoma should be removed for getting beat by Iowa State. At least we got beat to death by a good team. You have a bad game against Iowa Stete, you get beat. You have a bad game against Auburn you get beat to death.
So, since we are now out of it, and Oklahoma is now out of it, who do you think is the best team? After all if your opinion carries enough weight to eliminate Georgia, then mine should be enough to eliminate Oklahoma.

Fair enough.

Wait. Oklahoma beat a very bad Bayllor team by 8 points. If we are not letting Alabama in based upon their game with MState, why does Oklahoma get in the conversation after Baylor? For that matter you only beat Kansas State by 7 points! Oklahoma definitely gets eliminated for the best team conversation.

OU will win it all this year.

I like Georgia, as most of my family is from Banks County. I have a great grandfather that taught at the Georgia Law School.
Therefore I ain't gonna fight with ya.

Bama is absolutely unbeatable.
All those injuries?
No biggie.
They just plug in another 5-star.

Why would I ignore records to determine best team...
Best team doesn't get beaten by Ed O.
Since we all know you want us to say Auburn.
Miami looks like the best team right now. Alabama second but injuries are concerning.

You have to play defense to be balanced.

It's so hard to say, which makes this season super exciting! No one looks totally incredible and there don't seem to be shoe-ins for the CFP like there have been in past years.

Penalizes Bama for winning a close game over a ranked team on the road

Doesn't penalize OU or AU for actually losing games

I still don't see a two loss team jump any 1 loss teams into the playoff
Assuming UGA wins out until the SECCG, in the scenario of AU beating Bama and then UGA again...there is no way in hell the committee would keep AU out of the playoff after having within a month beat the number 1 team twice and one ranked at around 7.
