Best single year - Cam
Total YPG:
Burrow - 402.63
Newton - 309.11
Total TDs:
Burrow - 65
Newton - 50
Makes sense.

This isn't about who's more talented, it's about who had the better season.
The answer is still Burrow.

The person I replied to specifically noted that Cam Newton had a better single season, which is objectively false by every measure.

Did we forget rushing stats?
Those would be included in "Total" Yards per game and "Total" TDs.

This is probably the best answer.

I'd like to see some hardware included, and not just passing stats. Really don't care what Kellen Moore or Colt Brennan did in G5.
Matt Leinart
Total TDs: 109
Rose Bowl Champ
2004 Heisman Trophy
2004 National Champ
Danny Wuerffel
Total TDs: 122
4x SEC champ
1996 Heisman
1996 NC
Marcus Mariotta
Total TDs: 134
2014 Heisman
Rose Bowl Champ
Tim Tebow
Total TDs: 145
2x National Champ
2x SEC champ
2007 Heisman
Colt Mccoy
Total TDs: 132
2x First Team All American
Sam Bradford woulda been up there if he didnt get injured

Burrow easily. His 1 exceptional year is better than any QB 4 years. Ever. Y'all just gotta deal with it.

Tebow is who came to mind first. AJ is another. Maybe it's a homer pick, but 2 national championships is hard to beat.

Idk what his stats are but my answer is Tebow.

Tim Tebow (Florida) Record as starter: 35-6 (three seasons)
Total TDs: 145
QB rating: 169.7
Major awards: 2007 Heisman Trophy winner (3rd in 2008 and 5th in 2009) and consensus All-American
Championships: Two national titles (one as starter), two SEC titles (one as starter)
With all the power of his 6'3", 245-pound frame, Tebow was one of the toughest rushers of his time. And while his passing didn't translate into a successful NFL career, he ranks third all-time in FBS history for career efficiency. As a starting quarterback, he averaged an incredible 44 touchdowns per season.
