As a fan base we are torn between Florida and GT. GT is our traditional rival, but they have not been very competitive lately, so a lot consider Florida.

For me, it is:
Florida
GT
Auburn

Auburn is creeping up on GT, though. Almost nobody considers Auburn our #1 rival, though.

We are 12-5 against Auburn the last 17 games. We’ve owned those Opelika kids. I’d say Florida

And winning national championships (1983, 2010, maybe 2004),

I find it hilarious that your own school says you have two national Championships and yet some Auburn fans want to claim more. Fans think just because they claim more, then it must be so.

Go to the Auburn web site and they say it is 1957 and 2010.

Just because you want it to be more doesn't make it more. If this were the case Georgia would have a whole lot more than two.

they will be focused on and content with the 1 or 2 game lead they have against us in the 100+ year old series and dream of 1980.

nah. We also like that we have more:
Wins all time
Higher win % all time
More bowl games
More bowl wins
More SEC titles
More consensus All-Americans
More first round NFL draft picks
More NFL Draft picks
More weeks in the AP Poll
More weeks at #1 in the AP Poll

The same number of National Championships.

quote:

They are sorta a joke in all honesty.

So, after I just showed you how we are better in almost every single category, what does that make Auburn?
The only thing Auburn has is a more recent National Title, and they got that with a player who left his previous school before being expelled for cheating and stealing. And then the NCAA launched an investigation surrounding that player's recruitment, "Ole Miss style".

quote:

Unlike Bama who is a legit and worthy rival for us.

And there it is, folks. Auburn think a team that is better than theirs is a joke, and a team with 15 National Titles more than them a rival.

Ding. Ding. Ding.
Before this year Auburn and Georgia fans would take occasional shots at each other. After this year Auburn has started thread after thread focused on Georgia.

That alone says it all. They are behind us in almost every single category of football and are terrified they will fall as far back to us as they have to Alabama.

Georgia has benefited from beating horrible Auburn teams recently. And that’s the only reason why Georgia has a slim lead. Why are thUGA fans still butthurt that Auburn fans didn’t root for Georgia in tbe NC?

For me it’s

1. Florida
2. Florida
3. Florida
4. GA Tech
5. Auburn

But I’m a south Ga guy; I think geography has a lot to do with it. If the Auburn and Tech series ever become competitive again, it might change my perspective.

Auburn made that decision for a political reason. We know the facts are simple in 1983, 1993, 2004 and 2010 we were selected National Champions in some capacity.

the Auburn fans on here obsess over Arkansas at times...even though 99 percent of Auburn fans in real life couldn't care less about them

Same thing apllies to Georgia. Many or even most Alabama residents who are Auburn fans couldn't care less about them in real life

That’s more than enough of a reason for Bama and UCF to claim championships.

There will never be consensus from UGA fans about who the biggest rival is. It will always fluctuate depending on geography (you can add Tennessee, Sout Carolina, and Clemson to the short list of answers that you will get).

There is a consensus that you will find, however.
The most important win will always be Florida.
The most important loss will always be Georgia Tech.

There is your consensus.

It depends on the age of the fan you ask, and the location of the fan too.
